Hey all:

Here is something about El Diesel that I don't think anybody else has brought up (maybe I'm wrong?).

If he is such a professional & doing so well, why not have him be an example to incoming Freshmen at Cornell & 1st year law students?

He can do a 10 minute video showing his day, his results, his strategy, and his future plans. He can discuss how his education helped him achieve his position in life! That can be shown to potential students on the school's interweb sites & possibly also sh

ELD and Cornell can start a Nomad Intership program. All Nomad Interns will be sleeping at the Cornell parking garage to save on student housing costs and will have a special class that teaches how to earn tier points and get waived resort fees. Field trips to Atlantic City to tier match to Hard Rock Icon and then field trips to Las Vegas for 150 hours of folding. They can pack four students per room with double queen beds to reduce room costs as well. And one weekend trip with no room to San Fransisco for pocket bread on Spirit.

The end of semester term paper will be essays on Where Where You on the Day of the Red Rock Massacre and What are Solutions to the Diamond Plus Drink Crisis?

I'd be pretty pissed if I had a room next to Diesel's and had to smell his culunary delights wafting under his door every day. His cooking videoes are a total car crash. I defy anyone to look away.

I do my very best to not look at them at all.

For a massive out of this world nit as Rice, he would have to go on such an absurd heater in order to win 20K+ in a year from playing poker.

Either that or he have to play an absurd amount of hours, like 2500-3000 hours a year basically living at the tables folding waiting for the nutz around the clock 7 days a week.

For all his jibber-jabber about how much time he puts in, I don't think he even puts in the same number of hours as an ordinary 40 hour a week worker drone.

it seems like a common theme is misplaced pride and ego, I think them calling themselves their own boss and being broke is better than them having a regular low wage job somewhere and having to admit to themselves and the world that they're not special.

Some days I feel jealous of their "freedom" because it reminds me when i was younger and had little to no responsibilities. But being a loser stops being cute the moment you're not in your early 20s and that's no way to live.

I thought pman was i

Agree with everything here except for the part about Rice making $10 an hour from poker. That might have been what he was averaging in 2021 but he's thankful just to break even now. Whatever he does make is purely from the value he extracts from status/comps/promos.

The funny thing about these kind of people is they still manage to fool themselves into thinking they are above everyone else who is in traditional employment earning 5x what they do.

Rice's logic is if he makes 20k in a year and manages to save 1k by living like a hobo then he is ahead of someone making 200k and living it up but only saving $500 in that same year. The fact that the person earning 200k could save more in a single week if he wanted than Rice saves in a year is ignored entirely.

common theme with all these people who refuse to work for the man and want to be their own boss (TB. ELD, Pboy, BK, maybe Trooper too): they aren't disciplined to be their own boss and be productive. they don't put much effort into being better or making a real profit in their chosen "career"

I think Trooper was very hard working and put in a lot of effort, it was just that he was like a hamster in a wheel running as fast as possible and getting nowhere.

Normal human - gets up early, grabs a cup of coffee, hits the street running.

Hard Working Trooper - gets up early, crams in his two hours of youtube viewing, makes a cup of coffee using his complicated 23 step mixing and brewing process, struggles to put on his shoes without using his hands and opening the door with his shirt sleeves so he doesn't touch the door knob OCD nonsense, then finally hitting the strip he immediately starts wandering around wondering what fast food he should eat..... whew! I'm already exhausted and he hasn't done anything but walked out the house.

No one works harder for minimum wage than the Troopers are doing right now in their tireless pursuit of Candy greatness.

I actually find myself rooting for them ever so slightly because at least they are producing something tangible now even if it's just sugary crap. As opposed to what Tim was doing before which was just thinking he would get rich off Poker/YouTube fame alone.

it's quite likely a negative wage if you count their rent and kitchen equipment purchase/lease

He also acts like those are the only two options. Either you make a lot and blow it all or you make dirt and are a financial whiz like he thinks he is. Can't make 200k and save 50k or whatever. Also ignores the actual utility of spending some money.

Nothing wrong with working for yourself be it poker or some other endeavor. But if a decade into it you're making poverty wages you're doing it wrong.

He talks into riddles about his poker winnings from the last couple of years bc even he is embarrassed by them. If they were as "good" as he wanted he wouldn't have been dealing.

I doubt they make as much as min wage.

Sadly this is probably true.

Yeah its convenient for him to only consider the extreme scenarios. He does this with several things, using very flawed logic to try and convince himself and others that his choices are paying off.

True, it's hilarious watching! The fact that he refuses to divulge his hourly from 2023 onwards says everything. When people try insulting him in the comments by saying he makes barely minimum wage from poker he says he takes it as a compliment LOL

It seems they are expecting Enchant to be a real coup for the business. Then after that will be the surge in Xmas orders. Will be interesting to see how they are doing after that dies down.

Hey Rice spent $9.75 for a sandwich today. That's like a week's Worth of expenses. He must be crushing in AC.

ELD reports on the fact that behooves people to get on at the Harrah's parking garage level which has an elevator by Ben and Jerry's and that on certain floors one can walk between two towers to avoid walking on the casino floor which is crowded.

was surprised honestly that it took him so long to have a Taylor ham sandwich with all that time he has spent in South Jersey ,then again he is not very curious when it comes to culinary range.

He loves bringing up his lifetime hourly over the past ten years or so of $14/hr when people talk about his CURRENT hourly the past couple years. Does he really think his current hourly is just an anomaly or variance and his hourly will soon return to his historical hourly?

Once again, it's mind boggling how Diesel and his poker game can even have a positive hourly in this day and age of poker. I guess that proves how much tougher Vegas poker is compared to other parts of the country.

Not saying Vegas is full of wizards but from my experience, the days of Planet Hollywood player pools are over. Even the tourists that visit and play now are at least trying to play their best, wherever that skill level may be.

Maybe Trooper and Pman are good players and just can't beat the now tough Vegas poker scene...

Nah. Diesel shows the minimum skill requirement needed to win in the single digit hourly so obviously a good player that's trying to get better will win upwards to $20/hr in Vegas still and how Trooper/Pman can't even reach that minimum skill level.

Never been but I've watched tons of new jerz food videos

Those places that have a lake of oil with sausage potatos onions etc swimming in it simply do not exist on the.west coast

And most importantly, that "historical average" is not even inclusive of 2023 and 2024 figures!
