According to his blog here on Two Plus Two, Carl got "chaptered" out of the Army (his word) for underage drinking, and subsequently got a felony conviction for selling weed and served a few months in county jail, I believe.

The thing that distinguishes Carl from the poker vloggers we love to ridicule in this thread is that Carl is extremely humble. He's honest and forthcoming about his flaws and shortcomings and is always looking for ways to improve, not just in poker but in all areas of his life. He has put in many hours studying the game, posts detailed hand histories, and is open to constructive criticism. He's not arrogant or deluded. He has his struggles, as many of us do, and he admits him.

I've often thought that Pman in particular could learn a lot by reading Carl's 13-year blog in its entirety to find out what moving to Las Vegas to play poker for a living really entails: https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/174/p.... But of course Pman is delusional about his poker abilities, is generally not open to advice from others, and seems unwilling to put in the time to learn. His loss.

Great post. He is a really good guy. Timmy and Rice could learn a lot from him on how to treat other people.

But they are incapable if learning.

Carl is a genuine wholesome person.

Pman is delusional about pretty much everything.

It is takes like this on practically every subject, combined with smug know it all arrogance, that shows why the guy is unemployable in any office type environment. Coworkers like this are the first to get booted from the team, not get their contracts renewed, and probably detected and eliminated in the interview process in the first place.

LOL,no i am sure he is generous as **** when you consider the choices he makes for his personal lifestyle. He is willing to sleep in his car, go 48 hours+ without a shower/bathroom or eating one bad meal pr day in order to save a couple of dollars. I am sure he is an amazing tipper.

The one time he was going on a trip with his friend Herbs/Rye, he booked them into the ghetto as Herbs put it. But yeah, i am sure he is super generous towards every random dealer or floor that comes into his path.

Plus he has announced that he is gonna stop tipping when the rake increases, see the screenshot Angleshooter posted recently in the thread.

Maybe the dude is just looking for content guys... this stuff is his everyday life this thread isn't good and is a negative to 2plus2 poker community.

Haha and also with strange meats he has taken with him from the MGM lounge that he had no business being at in the first place.

He must have felt like such a big shot offering that stolen meat. Until he realised that literally no one wanted to touch it, and that people can afford to buy their own food whenever they want, unlike him, who relies on whatever he can get for free.

The funny thing is around the time he posted these videos I had gotten MGM platinum. When I saw the food he was showing it saved me the trip of checking out their lounges.

I believe he has the card to get in the lounges. MGM Grand poker room gives it out if you play there 250 or 275 hours in one year.

I didn't see the video but I remember his $2.13 tip on a discounted buffet at South Point. Assuming he gets the standard $15 off mailer offer, that puts it around $10. So 21.3% Tip....

Rice is an excellent tipper, maybe even in the top 1% of tippers using coupons.

If what he said in his vlog is true then he is probably tipping more than half of his hourly away to dealers earning at least 3x what he's making. That combined with the fact he insists on filling for New York State income tax while residing and working in Vegas warms my black heart.
