First break 61.7k and I snagged a Bounty so only in for 400 now

That French toast looks incredible. Not sure I could eat it without going into a carb coma - how is your body adjusting after a month of keto?

Good luck in the tourney

Gogogogo!!

Hey! French toast has eggs, so it's semi-keto.

I used to specialise in ‘paleo-ish’ things when I was in that world. Maybe the French Toast is Keto-ish

I'm out! Ran into all sorts of bad runout whenever I got playable spots and ended up getting ground down. I may have made my shove move early? But I immediately realized the Bounty adds a new perspective. If you shove you kinda want a call as people are gunning for bounties. Hard to get them to fold. Anyway my final hand I had 39k chips at 800/1600/1600. So right around 10 rounds of blinds. If you get much lower than they a big stack will call for sure. Anyway I shoved with AQ and got called by AJ which I felt pretty good about until he rivered a J and I was out.

At least I snagged a Bounty so I only lost 400.

Maybe play some cash later but now it will definitely be an early night again.

I feel fat! But I will get back on the horse again as soon as I get home. Not the least bit hungry right now and will probably just grab something cheap and easy at the food court later.

French toast smothered in syrup is the least Keto thing i.agineable.

Went and got another chair massage on my way back to the poker room. Felt great! The poker however didn't as I quickly pissed away $158 got disgusted with myself and left. I've been snakebit at cash this trip. Then again it might be that I suck 😀

Anyway the French toast wore off so I just grabbed a Popeyes sandwich and took it up to the room. Still have a few beers in the cooler I need to drink.

Gonna get t bed early again so I can do the same tomorrow so I can be up when I get that ultra early flight on Friday. Hopefully I can turn cash around tomorrow.

Got up real early so my body clock is right for tomorrow's early flight. Just walked a ton of laps inside between the V and P on both levels. Aftercleaning up and watching the market open I headed down strip for a change of scenery.

Headed to Henry's at the Cosmo for breakfast. I got their signature short rib eggs benedict and they were awesome.

They give off more of a steak and eggs vibe than eggs benedict vibe.

Plan on playing the Horseshoe 9am 100 donkament. These things are pure chapshoots but I have had success at them in the past. Blinds go up so fast by level 3 or 4 everyone is short-staffed. Key is to shove early and shove often as no one really understands fold equity or the cost of waiting for a hand.

Love your pic of the Sphere. Better than my daytime ones damn you 😆

Too late now, but my adjustment for bounty tournaments is to NOT ADJUST TOO MUCH. Your opponents will be doing so, and largely doing so badly, as evidenced perhaps by your bustout hand.

Good luck in the Horseshoe.

The donkament went is about expected. We were at 800 1600 1600 when I went out about an hour in. I'm on the button folds to me so I shove with 35 suited. They fold so that worked. Very next hand I have Ace queen. This is an even better shoving hand so I do it again. Only this time I run into Kings on the button. So that was that.

Since I'm leaving tomorrow I wanted to make sure I got all my comps in. I went to find out if I had any casino comps and they told me I had $13 in slot machine credit. So I took that to a slot machine and ran it up to $45. I also went and got my poker comps which totaled $71. That's not all from this trip though that I've been here three times this year now so a lot of that probably came from before this trip. But the $71 poker comp with the $45 slot machine comp should pay for my dinner tonight.

Going to head down now and take another shot at Cash hopefully it works for once.

My initial plan was to play some cash at Horseshoe but I hate their tables. The felt is real grabby making it hard to slide the cards

I think the adjustment is don't shove to get them to fold when short or medium stacked. Shove and hope they call. It's almost like opposite world.

Just finished up a couple hours of cash down at the Venetian poker room. I finally had a winning session for the first time in a day or two. This is probably the end of Poker for this trip because I've got to go to bed early tonight. Just want to rest up for a while now before dinner. I was in for $300 and out for $435. I think I have the weakest chip porn game at 2+2

See, if I had photoshop skills, I'd take that picture, erase the chips, and show you my stack. 😀

Safe travels back, enjoy the time that's left.

I almost wanted you to do a french toast-off at The Henry, but their eggs benedict is always a winner.

Henry's French toast is maybe even bigger than grand Lux. My favorite is at planet Hollywood and it is a normal size portion.

What do you guys do in this situation there's four or five limpers and I'm on the button with king queen unsuited. I raised to 15 and get three callers. Flop comes out 910 Jack all clubs. I don't have any clubs. It folds around to me and I shove all in.

Two of them seem to think about it but eventually everyone folds. In this situation I just don't want to give a club A draw. I know I risk running into a flopped flush but I just don't want to give anybody any kind of reason to call.

I think with 4-5 limpers, you want to raise a lot bigger than $15. 3x+1x per limper is pretty standard, which would be about 7-8x in this case ($21-24). I skew big in my opening sizes when I play 1-3 because there are so many passive, stationy fish who want to see flops. Getting called three ways indicates you didn't make it enough pre-flop.

I'm not a solver guy, but I think you can bet something like 70-80% pot on the flop and achieve most of the same things that you achieve by shoving. Betting smaller gives your value hands like sets, two pairs, and combo draws a chance to stack off, whereas you take away all semi-bluffs by going super huge immediately. You want to find a balance of taxing the value hands without blasting them out of the pot.

Again, you can be a lot less worried about the scare cards and the possibility of a flush if you bet bigger pre-flop and play against 1-2 opponents instead of 3. The initial mistake of betting small pre-flop created a tougher situation for you post-flop.

Well this trip is pretty much a wrap. Just had my last meal and it was outstanding as always. Went to Delmonico and had Bone-in ribeye and steak fries washed down with three Abita ambers and it was outstanding.

I had time to kill pre meal so I took one more shot at bubble craps and hit for +76. Then I decided to take one more post meal and hit for +56. Still only got me to -38 for craps this trip. I also lost $44 at cash games. Luckily I was +1500 in tourney play so I get to go home with a little more than I came with.

Anyway I am mostly packed. Just up in the room now watching football. Will go to bed at half ti.e so I can get up by 3am to catch my 5am flight. Ugh!

It was a great trip though, I'll update a little more once I get home.

In the cash games I play in, someone always calls in that spot.

But then what do you do on the turn? Or river? Is there a situation where you can fold? If not, I think I'd rather make the odds worse from the outset.

Closer to DogFace's ideas. Of course, it depends on stack sizes relative to pot.

Don't assume somebody's got a flush, but discourage them from drawing. Something like 2/3-3/4 pot, mixing in some shoves when that amount commits me anyway.

On the non-shoves, revaluate after turn, but mostly then shove all non-clubs.

But, I suck at cash poker, so there's that.
