Westgate has a good poker room. especially when the pool hustlers or cops are at conventions there

Hey guys, I got a gold card from the Bellagio poker room in December. I'm a Euro so I haven't been there since. I just booked a trip to Vegas and apparently they took the gold card status off me as of February 1st. Is this normal? I feel like I should have had the status for 1 year.

if you get gold/platinum strictly from poker , it resets February 1st. next time mix some slot play as well as that might stop that.

They have no information about a poker room on their website. I assume this is one of many that disappeared during the 'pandemic'.

If we are to believe PokerAtlas, there are also these two additional casinos in the Las Vegas area that offer poker:

Poker Palace Casino (7 tables)
Santa Fe Station (14 tables)

I was at Sam's town today and can confirm there is absolutely no poker room there

the last time I was at the Santa Fe Station (a month ago), they did have a poker room. it is by the movie theaters.

Not sure if this is the right thread, but how frequently does the 1-2-5 Big O at Caesars get up?
On Bravo it says every Monday 6PM, but last few Mondays it has come up as 5 Card Omaha/double board bomb pot @ 5-5 stakes

Coming to town with a few friends from overseas, and Big O is our game so we are super keen to play that somewhere. In our home games we play it no limit 😃

When I was in town in early January, it seemed like they were getting it going on Mondays and then on Wednesdays at CP, they were playing rotations of Big O, Double Board Bomb Pots, and Double Board Ultimate where the best high and best low using either board split.

Couple of questions about comp $

1. Which poker rooms allow you to use comps towards tournament entries? I believe Venetian is one.

2. Most places comps expire at the end of the year. Are there any out there with no expiration date?

by comps, do you mean rewards points for playing? If yes, I have used Station Casino & Boyd Gaming rewards points from poker recently that I know were more than a year old.

This is a Vegas-thread, so let's not clutter it with incorrect information. If you look at my posting history you will clearly see that I was in Las Vegas in January 2022; at a time where you had to be vaccinated to enter the US.

Enough about that topic though - back to Vegas and the f**king Mirage instead.

dumb question but how do you get cash from vegas when you travel?

My bank has a a limit of withdraw and shoul I call them to try to lift it or whast a good option? I sadly dont have chase or wells fargo or a big bank like tat

that is a pretty dumb question.
my suggestion is maybe bring cash with you? make a withdrawal before you go?

even better, go to your bank and tell them you are traveling and might need to make a withdrawal?

well I just don't want to bring like 5-10k cash on hand through airport.

im NOT gonna make it big but haet to bring 6-7k cash with me and then have 15k cash and then have to cary that through airport if that makes sense I know its weird ot say but yeah

15k cash fits easily in one pocket. Nobody will know you have it. Just carry it, it's far superior to any other option.

its not that bad to carry 15k. TSA won't care.

If you come from abroad there is a $10k limit for how much you can bring in and out, fwiw.
