Diamond in a Day - CET Total Rewards
Is it still possible to get Diamond in a Day?
I have read about it in the past, just curious.
Googled and was able to find it. Completed it and filled out a card app. Unfortunately by the time I'm approved for the card may not be enough time to qualify in time for WSOP but going to try. Here is the link I found - https://www.caesars.com/myrewards/partners/cr-visa/promo-registration

It says get you Diamond Plus back, and also says this:
Only cardholders who are sent the email and register here will be qualified to earn this offer.
I assume you registered. Did you get any kind of reply yet?
It also says this:
This offer is valid for invited Caesars Rewards Visa cardholders only.
So, you have to already be a cardholder.
I am not a current card holder and have never been one.
I was diamond last year via Founders Card.
It does look like it is for individuals who are not current cardholders and were diamond last year.
I'm the same as you. Former FC guy. It looks to me like it's for people who already have the cc.
I got the email offer, but I am not a card holder.
Huh. Good luck. I don't get any emails from them. Guess I need to go turn them back on or unblock them, lol.

When I registered it just gave me a message like you have registered. When I applied for the card it said I will receive something via mail in 10 to 15 days.
From what I have seen the upgrade to Diamond is for NEW card members who sign up for the card and spend $5K in 3 months. ( Note I suggest you PAY the bills in total on time) Any EXISTING cardmember gets 5,000 TIER credits after spending $5,000. that is just a normal part of their affiliation with CET. Note the tier credits do NOT go up after you spend $5K but you do continue to accumulate reward points. The 5K tier credit is limited to once per year.
Damn I wish I would get that offer. If they had a $99/fee card like the airlines with spend to earn tier credits I’d do that in a heartbeat too.

4 free drinks outside of bars is officially dead.
I know they blame the locals who really abused the drink vouchers for this change. Not only was it expensive but it caused logistical and inventory issues in some spots. But they could have taken steps to prevent the abuse without killing the perk. I mean, it could have been as simple as only allowing the drinks on days where there was a hotel reservation. I’m pretty sure that would have eliminated at least 90% of the abuse.
If they’re smart, they will kill the diamond plus level and restructure the tiers with an appropriate distribution of perks to differentiate them. I’m not holding my breath. Seems like El Dorado is hell bent on staying the course of hatchet level cost-cutting and praying for the economy to remain ok.
Since when? I was at caesars a few weeks ago and got my free starbucks and redbulls. Was this announced anywhere?
Edit: Found a couple reddit threads about it. Apparently it went into effect Feb 10th. Some people claiming they were still able to get free starbucks after that day. Some people saying that Seven Stars can still get starbucks to take the "vouchers" but not diamond plus? Also people reporting that other restaurants outside of the list (list in attached reddit thread) are also taking them, such as Giada's place in CP which is where I would get my 3 redbulls, so hopefully at least that's still the case as someone who isn't a big drinker.

Info seems a bit all over at this point. Anyone D+ actually tried and been denied at starbucks?

The issue isn't which bars or restaurants will give you the drinks, it's bars/restaurants vs stores like Starbucks or Belle Madeline at Paris. The great thing about free waters from stores is in the summer, take them back to the fridge in your room and avoid dehydration. You can't do that with bar/restaurant drinks, they have to open them. Plus you have to tip them.
Last year, I attempted to get Diamond by getting the Wyndham card but due to the incompetence of Barclays that did not happen. I figured based on what happened with the Founders Card that time was short on the Wyndham workaround and I was right, so no big loss. However, my wife is now talking about wanting to take a cruise in late summer so I might find it worth it to try again to get Diamond for the purpose, in part, of getting the Carnival reward status match.
Please point out the holes in this plan if there are any:
Step 1: Get the Caesars credit card. Charge at least a penny to get Platinum (for the free parking in Vegas this summer).
Step 2: Use the 5,000 TC-in-a-day bumped to 15,000 TC promo to grind out Diamond (likely using the video roulette method posted earlier).
My concern is that promo could go away? How long has that been in effect?
Do I understand correctly that I would not get the benefits of Diamond on my five-day trip because the promo tier credits aren't applied immediately? But I would then be diamond for my 2026 WSOP trip?

Speaking strictly to the 5K tier credit + 10K daily tier credit bonus... that's been a pretty consistent daily bonus offering, I doubt that would get yanked. The daily tier credit bonus is different than a multiplier event where they delay applying the multipled credits to your account. The daily tier credit bonus will be applied to your account the next day (usually after noon or so). They used to send an email saying something like, congrats, based on your play on xx date, you earned a daily tier credit bonus of xxxx which has been applied to your account. I haven't gotten those emails anymore, but can confirm from a visit last month that the daily tier credit bonus just gets applied the next day.

Read the NEW card holder agreement carefully as to the 5K points for a Penny . I am a long time Comenity / Bread Financial / Caesars Visa card holder and the 5,000 point tier credit is earned after you spend $5,000. Now NEW card holders may get that with a penny use to be sure. Just make sure I don't have the offer to confirm for you so this is just a cautionary warning.
The 5K Tier credits they give out Once per year with the Card so it at least keeps you at Platinum if you charge $5k - You also earn Rewards points for any CC usage to use to pay for anything while at the CET casino's

Do you have to spend $5k every year to keep getting that benefit?

Maybe reread Johnny's post, a little slower this time. He's just looking to get Platinum from the card, nothing else.
Thanks for the responses. It sounds like I don't necessarily need to get CC for the near-immediate Platinum if I can just grind out 5K points the first day I'm in town for Diamond if that would go into effect while on the trip. (May get the card anyway for my small business as I'm using one with Disney rewards now and, since my kids are getting older, we take fewer trips there now). If I get diamond in June 2025, it will be good through the end of 2026, correct?

If you earn Diamond this year, it is technically good through January 31, 2027.
And back to CC for getting Platinum - if you are planning on 5k in a day, even that 5K tier credit would get you to Platinum on its own without getting the CC. Add in the 10K daily bonus and you're on to Diamond. Also, depending on how you grind to that 5K, know the daily tier points typically earn from 6am-6am (not midnight to midnight). Maybe double check with local rewards desk just to confirm so that you don't have any issues with earned points being spread over 2 separate "earning days".

Be careful suggesting that. 6 to 6 might be the gaming day in LV, but 3-3 & 4-4 are much more common outside of LV. And some sites won’t tell you that information.
Another thing related to this, you don’t need to earn all the points at the same casino. You could play in Borgata in AC in the AM and then fly to LV and play at Paris and all of those points are cumulative for that day.

They did take steps to stop the abuse, they cut those abusers completely off. There are consequences to excessively abusing a park like that.
I 100% support and agree. And appreciative the bar perk is still in place.
