This now stands for this thread:
Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.

If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.

Update April 2018
********************
OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

The End: Old School Candy Kitchen

Did anyone else get the feeling Christina is secretly thrilled it's over?
I would say, conservatively, Christina lost $25,000 in this business venture, and would not be the least be surprised if she lost in excess of $50,000.
Also: If Trooper thinks he's gonna scare or get the Kitchen rental place in trouble, he is gonna be sadly mistaken.
I guess they had a month to month lease?
Nice to see him finally put on a pair of gloves
If a nuclear holocaust destroyed the planet, the only things that would survive are roaches and this sub that is obsessed with two guys who arent worth .01% of the effort and time devoted to them here.
It's amazing, I leave this site for a few months and whenever I come back, it's the exact same two people being discussed despite there being numerous more interesting vloggers to talk about
Are any other vloggers making 100% unseasoned steamed steak in a rice cooker in a hotel room bathroom?
I don't care about some loser playing 1/3 and hosting meet up games. I'm interested in watching people play 10/20+ and face interesting decisions/see some gambol, or watching the absolute bottom of the barrel.
I predict Rice will find his way to a Coastal Carolina football game this year
I just checked their old vlogs. It's been about 7 months so I guess they are breaking their lease or they went maybe 6 month lease then month to month?
Surprised they lasted this long honestly. It's just a horrible business plan. Making product that retails for less than $20, requires quite a bit of labor and time while being limited by the amount of supply you can make since it's a two person operation.
They were just bleeding cash left and right. Buying brand new equipment. All the inspections and permits. Buying ingredients at Costco vs a bulk wholesaler. No analysis on ingredient cost per product to price goods appropriately. Paying for a booth at Enchant. All for a product with a capped supply and low profit margin in relation to time spent making the product.
I'm all for taking a chance at starting your own business but in this day and age of the internet and message boards and social media, how about doing some research before committing yourself to a huge financial investment.
It's like they were doing well at the farmer's markets and illegally shipping product before that they just thought if they got into a commercial kitchen, making more product just means more profits exponentially.

I only care about bottom of the barrel types.
Like bike and troop
Sad part for Lady Trooper is that it would definitely have been a profitable side hustle. That is until Trooper took over and decided to try and turn it into some massive empire that it was never going to be.
Plus they could just walk a few steps to their kitchen and whip up a batch of candy while watching Netflix etc, instead of having to drive to a miserable industrial kitchen with poor A/C.
In the end, it was the Man's rules and regulations keeping Tim down.
No where in Vegas can they use their candy stove without spending thousands for inspections and permits
They've exhausted all options
marble table weighs hundreds of pounds
My guess at far as losses:
$2900 kitchen rent x6 = 17600
enchant rent = 4k
farmers market table rent = guessing $500/mo
marble table = couple thou
candy cooker kettle = couple thou
other sh*t = multiple thou
all the supplies, gas for the car, ingredients = lol
apt rent 2k car payment guessing $600 = 15600
total nut for 6 months of existence 50k give or take + lol
so they needed to PROFIT 8.5k of candy/month just to break even. Thats a lot of $4 pralines.
this doesn't include sbux or food costs to feed two people for 6 months. toss another 4 grand on top.
Meanwhile: Average McDonald's in Vegas hourly pay ranges from approximately $12.68 per hour for Fast Food Attendant to $19.19 per hour for Stocker/Receiver.
If they worked at McDonalds, for 6 months:
30 hrs/ week at $15/hr = $1600/mo after tax.
$3200 if they both work x 6months = 19 thou
apartment rent, car, food 3k/mo x 6 = 18k
+1000 DOLLARS at mcdonalds vs STUCK WELL OVER 50k selling candy working 40+ hour weeks

I could bear to keep up with this thread less, but it's just... I can't look away. Actually, it was Poker Nomad's vlog that brought me to this thread, not the other way around. Two Plus Two should be paying him, because once you see a few of his vlogs... you have to talk about it to someone. Am I right? And this is that place. Whoever is actually watching these things and providing run downs to the rest of us are doing the world a service. Like those roof guys at Chernobyl.
Not great, not terrible. Honestly, if Nomad ever gets back in the box, he'll turn over a new leaf. He just needs to channel his discipline in the right direction. Unlike P-man, who seems to have no discipline. Can we all agree Jesus is the only reason he hasn't ended up a meth head? They are like the ying and the yang. Have they ever met? The world might end.
And then, there's Trooper.
If he still had a lease, maybe he talked his way out of it. The swamp cooler thing was a bit of a curve ball, and not all landlords are *******s. Don't most restaurants fail within a year? Maybe Trooper could use all this for a "Survivor" audition real.
In summary, I'd stop reading this thread, but no one has optioned my script for "Rounders 3: Rise of the Nomad" yet, so what else am I going to do? Producers keep telling me "the monkey would be too expensive", but the monkey is the whole point! Well, in the first act anyway. But, this is why artists go hungry.
Anybody want an 8 ft by 3 ft double thick marble table? First $3k takes it.
Trooper had to have burned through $50k of Christina's money in order to hang around a farmers market all day twice a week and gross $150 a day.
If Christina had stuck to making lollipops at home they would have had a nice little side income to supplement their salaries from their jobss... oh, wait. Sorry, nevermind.

It's more than $50K for sure if you add all the expenses, just top of the line brand new commercial kitchen equipment they bought ran over $20K iirc, they gotta be pushing 100
What if Trooper is just using the excuse of the swamp cooler as to why the business failed? While it sure contributed at the commercial kitchen, he got an evaporator last year and pretty much solved the problem with humidity. So why would the swamp cooler be an issue now?
I mean they seemed to sell product at the farmer's markets, in person delivery and I'm sure black market internet sales before they moved into the kitchen. Why not go back to that? Less headaches when you can just make it at home. Powdered sugar getting everywhere at home is too much to deal with?
I think the reason they shut it all down was simply revenue not keeping up with expenses. Only thing that makes sense as to why to quit completely. They finally realized selling peanut brittle for a living just wasn't financially viable income. Also hurt that Diesel's four figure net income the past two years far surpassed the candy income. Diesel was right! Who cares if the candy revenue was 50k when you spend more than that? It's all about net income baby!
Trooper has such an immense ego and me against the world mentality. There's no way he's gonna admit failure was on him in a public vlog. Nope, it was the man, the rubric, the swamp cooler, the corporations, the permits, the commercial kitchen conspiring against him.
what's there to believe?
the rent of commercial space at that location and their apartment complex is pretty much public info same as all the stuff they bought for their kitchen
just because they didn't have $100K to lose doesn't mean they didn't spend it, whether it was LT mom's money as someone in this thread alluded to or they maxed out LT credit cards is not very relevant as to where they ended up
Genuinely wonder what his next move will be, i think hes going to do a vegas matt slot vlog t
If he goes back to poker, he will not do well, that ship has sailed, theres no world in which he can win enough, but maybe just vlog and get by for a while.
The candy game has done alot of damage to his vlog, he is hardly getting any views. WSOP is coming up though, could be a time to build but of course its trooper, he will step on a rake somehow
Will be here to watch whatever happens, will be glad to get the yearly poker winnings tally back out
Kansas also left potatoes for ELD and thus today we see ELD make from scratch, including butter and milk, the restroom style potato mashed slurry on the most recent episode of Nomadic Cooking with ELD.
A nontraditional utensil is devised by ELD by using a corn can concoct the slurry.
