The thing that separates Trooper and Rice is Trooper actually shows some humility especially in earlier vlogs that is kinda endearing he has admitted when he was was broke struggling and made mistakes etc. Rice on the other hand thinks he is a genius and does everything right in his own mind and that ego just is a major turnoff for viewers I feel like. Trooper also seems to ha

T had a peak I life. It was in high school but Rice has never peaked.

T remembers the good old days. Rice has never even cracked joke in any of his vlogs.

Getting to 6 figures isn't that hard over 8-10 years if you actually consciously save and I've never seen a bigger cheap ass than Diesel so it's not a stretch that he has 6 figures in his portfolio.

He had very little income to save.

Even making 30k net a year for someone like Diesel would be enough to get there.

Ima guess he has never in his life made 30k net in a year.

Why do people act surprised that someone wouldn’t plan for their retirement? That’s a lot of people.

Just by working with a W2 you earn a SS benefit. Most employers have a 401K match so investing for the minimum match and you will a nest egg.

Participating in life instead of watching it pass by seems to have some benefits.

You'd be surprised how many people lack basic knowledge about finances. In addition, most Americans are not making $100k+ a year. The vast majority of working Americans are barely scraping by on paycheck to paycheck basis, not necessarily their own fault. Which of course makes it more difficult to contribute to a retirement plan.

Based on his poker playing, Rice is so risk-averse that he is keeping his cash in the left sock and change in the right.

His portfolio would make an OMC proud.

If after two years of dealing to lead to retirement a Nomad could get a cheap boat for $2000 then it is possible to live in a 20 foot to 30 foot boat for $350 to $500 per month in Stockton California with free wifi and solar panels for electricity. Load about 100 pounds of rice in the boat and set up the rice cooker.

As realistic as banging mermaids during his stay.

I would say the one exception would be when he worked IT, assuming he stayed at least six months.

In terms of the Bar Mitzvah savings / is he Jewish comment, IIRC, he stated he had a convo about shared Judaism in a shared Airbnb kitchen with a women one or two summers ago.

I do agree with those posters who say he could have a $100k portfolio, but likely accumulated most of it prior to playing poker, with a large portion of the growth coming from accumulated stock appreciation and dividends over decades.

He of course passes on an advantageous method to add to retirement savings by skipping on creating and contributing to a 401k during his previous and current dealing job, skipping the tax advantages and employer matching funds in favor of solely using taxable brokerage accounts he can access whenever. Smart to have both tax and tax free savings to maximize flexibility in retirement. Classic Rice.

I think he’s being funded in many ways by his parents. He never mentions how he pays several expenses such as cell phone (family plan?), car insurance (family plan?), health insurance (family plan or he doesn’t have it all?), etc etc.

He’s definitely doing well by keeping his other expenses down (housing, food, etc) but he’s not transparent with his entire financial situation, that’s for sure.

Exactly. For a while he was explaining whether he spent 5 dollars on laundry a month or 0 bc he did it free at an Airbnb.

But cell phone health insurance car insurance crickets. And that's the kind of stuff his parents likely would be paying for.

Diesel has actually addressed this before and it's quite laughable.

He's said since these expenses are fixed, there's no need to share them. Obviously laundry expenses are not and are thus shared.

Of course he's never even shared these fixed expenses once. Expenses are expenses. They don't just disappear or not get paid. Even then, fixed expenses don't always stay the same either.

Probably doesn’t want the blowback from people. Mid thirties and your parents are still footing some of your biggest expenses. Embarrassing.

The Troopers apparently taking advantage of their Nevada free parking first park at Caesars then drive to Aria to eat at Whataburger. Each Trooper orders the same burger with no tomatoes.

They review the burger as: ok. They were really hungry and the first half is better than the second half. The meat has a lot of holes in it and is spongy. The total cost is $31.

After the burger they not surprisingly get coffee.

The job that I worked the longest did NOT have 401k matching :-( .

Where did Christina get all her money? Was it really alimony, or is that just a hypothesis?

Trooper is not making any money, and I am pretty sure the candy situation didn’t make a profit once they went full retail space. Apartments, food, car payments, all that **** costs a lot of money. Or maybe she has a trust fund? Genuinely curious. I would have a hard time living off of someone else’s money personally.

Yes it is very embarrassing and id go a step further and say its pretty despicable to have your parents paying any of your bills after 30 especially but really anytime after like 25 is pretty gross to me and would make me think less of someone.

Its all so he can play pretend like hes a poker pro too, he clearly doesnt make more than enough to pay the bills like hes said before and his BS is well documented.

They would never tell anyone if she was getting alimony. They don’t get into their past much or into details like that. They have said in the past a lot of stuff is none of the viewers business.

And when they say that, a lot of the fans in the YouTube comments agree that it’s none of their business.

She has invested a lot in this relationship. It’s going to make it harder for her to admit to herself it’s a mistake and leave. That would be admitting that she made poor choices over the last 7 years. But at least they love each other.

And who knows the answers to these questions. Trooper would say people are wrong and don’t know ****. You could ask these questions in the comment section of their videos but I doubt they will answer.

Yup. I could understand someone gets laid off and maybe their parents help them for a bit although it would make me sick to ask for money as an adult. But leeching off your parents so you can parade around pretending to be a poker pro is beyond pathetic.

It's bizarre they enable this nonsense but I've seen enough parents that think the sun shines out of their kids ass so it's not that surprising.

IÂ’m curious what was the final straw that broke the broke camels back for Rice?

IÂ’m betting it was him losing the diamond benefits and having to pay the extra $25-40 per night in resort fees his narrow budget threshold simply could not add such a monumental increase in expenses

With rent for the candy operation, apt, cars, utilities, food, entertainment, insurance I would say 7k a month. That's a lot of money for someone bringing in squat diddly.

In Stockton? You'd have to burn up a lot of your savings on ammo.

I have more respect for him if he just admitted he wasn't crushing poker as much as he would like and would rather grind out max hours at dealing to make more money and save up. He still tries to pretend he was making at enough at $1-2 to not have to play $2-5 and to pay all his expenses.

Im hoping there is a family member that can rescue her from this situation. She seems nice but its not her job to rescue him from his poker addiction.
