Looks like he worked 13 hours. Thought the wage was closer to $450 than $500.

Honestly when he breaks it down it makes me realize that Vegas dealers aren't getting great tips. I think he said he dealt 6-7 cash downs and made $98. That's not great. Assuming he is getting out 15 hands per down he is basically at $1/hand.

It's amazing he wasted so much time with his 1/2 nl "pro" nonsense making poverty wages while not being able to handle 200 dollar downswings. Everyone knew he would have to get a job bc no matter how much he cut expenses because that nonsense wasn't going to cut it anymore yet it took him years to figure it out. A true Ivy league genius.

Where does he get his money to play? Abby, maybe?

I've long suspected this is spot on. Rice knows exactly what he's doing. It's views and comments from haters that keep his channel alive. The content he puts out is otherwise worthless and of interest to no one.

They have the Circuit event in January, but there's no chatter about it. Rooms are sky high for some reason, and I'm certainly not paying those prices.

Wow, had not been watching Diesel videos much but he can’t make it through a day with out an angry outburst/temper tantrum, he’s making more money than ever but is more unhappy than I have ever seen him. I also don’t understand how he can call anyone miserable at this point, when he seemed way happier in the early days of the vlog grinding in the Ballys deli poker section to play in a freeroll for $200. Diesel is just another depressed working schnook now and I didn’t realize most of his videos now are just numbers kink ones where he breaks down every paycheck even though he is terrible at math and logic.

Thanks all for the casino nomad recommendation, what a funny and upbeat blog compared to Diesels madman rantings. All of that despite this guy gambling pretty hard while battling a heart problem and working remotely.

In my experience Vegas dealers on average do make less than in other place. But Nevada dealers also get the state minimum wage of 12-13 bucks an hour vs most other states where they might get 2-3 dollars an hour. Others have also said he's a slow dealer and he's obviously combative so I'm sure he's also on the lower end as far as getting tips goes.

Wake up and read between the lines people. It’s no different than him giving poker results from 2016 while failing to share anything recent or saying that inflation doesn’t affect him.

Exactly this. He deletes negative comments constantly. He has no idea how to get more viewers. When most people wanted to hear poker results he'd speak in riddles save for the occasional "good " week he'd have. This went on for several years before the dealing Job and surely cost him views.

If someone just gave Casino Nomad a few solid slot plays and some breakeven plays they would be gold in his hands with the cover of all his craps play. Even if he played as bad as Trooper he’d be swimming in offers like Scrooge McDuck.

I assume this thread has boosted his channel a decent amount but Casino Nomad doesn’t play poker so he doesn’t know about this thread right?

Whether he knows about it or not, his channel is on fire with or without help from this thread. His vlogs are already getting avg views around 30K (if you average in the ones that got 100K+ views). Already at 16K subs and should at least double that by end of year if he keeps going as he has been.

I forgot about SHOT. They picked a bad month to have the Circuit event. I was planning on playing, but I'll give it a pass at those prices.

I usually use Circuit to get some play in between WSOP's. Maybe I can find some other spring event where rooms are cheap.

When I lived in NorCal they said a good dealer made a hundred grand a year, but that was when LHE was popular. LHE moves fast, and some dealers get in 45-50 hands per hour. But that was also before the minwage got up to 20 bucks an hour.

They're always hiring at WSOP time, and if you don't get hired by CET there's always the other 6 or 7 casinos that are hosting a series.

He's shown that all you have to be is a normal person to be a youtube star.

Casino Nomad is a normal guy doing a recognizable thing that is different but people understand it. relatable but unique. YouTube is flooded with rehashed copycat Vegas crap and news/reviews that have been done a hundred times.

I think there is room for improvement and progress for him, it isn't super interesting yet, but there has been enough that the channel continues to grow rapidly

The Permanent Address should be raking in profits this Winter Season especially since there is no A/C usage needed in Winter and therefore the rent collected will be almost pure profits and not needing to reimburse NV Energy bills.

With some tweaks and polishing of his content his channel has pretty big potenial in the future imo.

He got some stuff come natural to him that he does well,and its giving him a great start.
