As someone who also dislikes working, dealing is a great lazy man's part time gig. Why trooper or diesel don't do this baffles me. Trooper I don't really like so whatever. But diesel I do, and would rather see him succeed. Just dealing 10-20 hours a week would benefit his life so much. But I'm saying the same things over and over. Obviously he's not open to accepting advice. I'

It is pretty baffling especially from Diesel bc he hates swings so much. I mean they obviously both think (or maybe in Troopers case, thought) they were way better at poker than they really are and just running bad but still they'd make way more dealing than from playing even if they "ran good". Plus Diesel is a financial mastermind who could surely work his magic and transfer his profits from dealing into dividend paying stocks.

Diesel is obviously going to end up taking this route in a few years he just insists on delaying the inevitable.

I know I saw El Diesel write in a comment section recently that he saw the tell once and in his case it meant the opposite. The way Trooper describes it, it’s possible but I would have made the opposite assumption (if I were to even assume anything at all). I think someone trying to bluff would try to show strength and would not try to take any chips back. I could see someone

Even if they tell is unreliable (and let's been honest with a dipshit like Trooper it's probably 50/50) imagine the honor of being the only person his hero the Trooper was willing to share this info with!

What will become of his beloved Westgate misfits game? Will Rice take over the hosting duties?

Westgate should do the right thing and shut that room down. Then fumigate the crap out of it. Then fumigate it again.

The numbers don't matter, for example, count out a $75 bet behind the line and then put it it out and count it down again in the betting area and then take back $5 and bet $70, would be a bluff 100% of the time.

That's it? Another Hamster big reveal lands with a resoundingly dull thud.

I just watched the video. I've not ever seen that "tell".

I've seen it a bunch. The problem these days is it holds true in Trooper's scenario where it's someone pulling back a chip or two subconsciously. Where I've seen it fail these days is if it's someone doing math and actually trying to calculate 33% of pot and adjusting, they're taking it back consciously ant it fails. But that's really true about most tells, but I've used this specific one >5 times and only been wrong once.

The funny part is the way I found this one out was I caught myself doing it.

Brettski must be making a killing on the Kick streams if hes able lose 25k like its nothing.

So Diesel is now saying it's bad to win a lot of small pots in promo rooms cause you will be paying more into the promo fund than you might receive is peak Diesel.

He uses the example of raising to $12 and getting one caller. That will rake the full $2 for the promo right on the flop. If you bet and take it down, you win a small pot but pay $2 into the promo.

He's also proud of the pots he raised and won preflop cause he paid zero rake and zero into the promo fund.

No wonder the amount he paid into the promos was so low in the last two videos about the MGM and Horseshoe sessions.

Does he understand the money won from the actual small pots is real spendable money?

Diesels channel is growing. Neck and neck with sprkli

Yup, Rice really likes to take down pots, pre-flop, with no rake being taken out.
The average size pot Rice wins must be miniscule.
Rice is basically a promo grinder now.

This is what I find hilarious with Diesel. He's detail oriented and always thinks he's right yet he doesn't acknowledge the name change, mispronounces Nevada cause he doesn't like the way the correct way sounds and offers inane stats except for daily poker results.

Someone called him out on it in today’s video to which he replied “it will always be Bally’s to me.” Just now watched his short video about the hand sanitizers disappearing and he probably said “Horseshoe” 5 times and didn’t say “Bally’s” once. I think we’re being trolled…

They will move back to Cali and concentrate on the farmers markets there will living rent free in Christina's mom`s house

Do Cali houses have basements?

The circus geeks that participate could be cast in a Jean-Jacques Annaud film.

I heard Phil Ivey is on suicYde watch due to the reveal tanking his hourly.

No the ground is too hard plus earthquakes.

I don't see this being done by my opponents hardly ever. Maybe once or twice a year of full time play. I've also personally done it myself not intentionally but just my accident. But I play mostly 5/10 or higher. So when the betting is last moment trimmed back, it's significant dollars. But in smaller games like 1/3 or 1/2, the trim back is not that much real money.

But when I accidently did this myself, I was motivated by making a more attractive price for my opponent to call. NOT trying to save myself real money in case he calls. For example, I was going to bet seven black chips on the river, but trimmed it down to five blacks.

So, if you my opponent saw me do this "tell" and call thinking I'm bluffing...I was betting with the near nuts for value.

What the hell is wrong with people?
I win some big pots, do you think I am getting out my abacus to check the win-rate vs rake vs promo? my gosh have some bigger goals than win $9 in three hours. if you make some good plays and get on a hot streak you can make $80/hr, it's not rocket science

why does he try so hard and think so hard to make it not fun?

I've had enough of the Diesel play by play. he's a complete moron

so Rice would rather win $4 than $10 because "the man" isn't getting any rake. okay makes sense

No the ground is too hard plus earthquakes.

Sorry, I call "nonsense", I expect there are many areas in California where the ground is not too hard to have a basement in a residnce

See, cf. https://maxablespace.com/can-a-basement-...

While caliche is a factor in why houses in Las Vegas lack basements, even there your statement would not be entirely accurate.

by Langdon

His primary focus is on maximizing comps and promos and benefits. His other speciality is minimizing expenses, particularly housing and food/bev (this ties in nicely with his maximizing benefits)

That's why he will give all sorts of analytics and breakdowns of his comps/promos/rewards and expenses but he is loath to ever do the same for his actual win rates at the tables. He doesn't mind giving results for earlier years when he was running hot, but it's nigh on impossible to get anything out of him about recent results (other than his whinging about running terribly)

by Langdon

Seems he's sticking to the strip I think he'll be alright.

When Boski won like 50k in a tournament he took it in cash which was moronic.

Rice has it all figured out once again. Small pots are where the most skill is, all top players win lots of small pots. Big pots mostly just play themselves, sure sometimes you get a bluff through or make a big call but mostly they play themselves. Rake at 1-2 is huge, but play is so bad it makes up for it when medium winning players are people like el diesel. Why it’s so easy to win 10-15bbs an hour if you actually put in the work, you see how little thought and effort is put in by el diesel when he tells you his strategy and it’s so bunk and stupid, and he’s a winning player, kindve mind blowing really how easy it is to be a “pro gambler” although I’d argue diesel is not.

Good for him for growing his channel though, very surprising to me. Guy is the dullest of the dull at gambling though

Enjoyed troopers last vlog, prob for the first time since I originally watched his vlog and the first couple years in Vegas. Introspective as much as he can be, reminiscent on his time. Pretty funny he spent all day thinking how to grow his vlog when the answer was pretty simple.

Regarding his tell I think it highlights how little importance should be given to tells in a single session by people you’ve never played with before. Trying to save money because im bluffing or figuring out how much to bet to make them fold or whatever aren’t even things I’m thinking about ever, although I do think I give off a ton of live tells, these thoughts aren’t in my thought process at all. I try to think of all the hands I have, then break them down into various net sizes based on the action and board and stuff and put corresponding hands together like the nut hands w nut blockers as bluffs, weaker value hands w weak blockers in a different size, not ground breaking stuff. I’m not shaking in my boots because I’m bluffing and could lose. I guess I’m not his target for these tells though. He just wants to inflict pain on people, and punish them, make them go broke but also not play against anyone trying or else it’s not fun anymore! Wahhh why can’t it be like planet Hollywood in 2005 when nobody tried, I’m trying to punish and destroy people!!!! But you can’t try or else it’s no fun wahhhhhh
