Went to Bramare tonight, very highly recommend. I felt kind of bad because the place is super nice but hardly anyone was there on a Saturday night. The parking situation was also terrible. It’s next to Cleaver, Tacos and Beer, and some other spots and there’s only maybe 40-60 spaces so I had to park at the hotel nearby and walk, and even that lot was packed.

Old fashioned ($18) - 8/10 pretty standard but well done
Bragato cocktail ($22) - 10/10, phenomenal drink. Not on the menu yet, they’ve been testing it out. It’s a coffee/dessert cocktail made with nitro and it’s just perfectly well balanced. One of the more memorable cocktails I’ve had in a while.

Espresso martini ($16) - pretty standard, 7/10. The one at Mother Wolf is 10/10.

Calabrian chili pork belly app ($19) - 9.5/10, this one was even better than expected
The Toast - 9.5/10. Same, very impressed with this.

Rigatoni a la gricia ($28) - 8/10, but only because the one at Mother Wolf is 11/10

Porchetta ($28) - this was good but needed some kind of sauce I think. Nice crisp on it. 6/10

Overall great and will definitely go back.

Went to Sushi Hiroyoshi for the first time in years. Nigiri is elite. $250 for 3 people with a whole bunch of nigiri, could easily spend much less if just doing rolls. 9/10

My goodness does that sushi look elite.

sushi not my thing but that really does look fresh.

WJ basically holding both dining threads on his shoulders at this point

Sushi looks amazing -- my favorite food. We enjoyed the omakase at Hiroyoshi more than at Kabuto.

It’s a difficult job but someone has to do it.

LOL, many thanks for your sacrifice.

Great work.

Ada’s wine bar just put out a new menu and I’ve never eaten there so I went last night.

Wagyu air dried beef - 9/10
Dungeness crab with cucumber and curried walnuts - 7/10, horseradish was a little overpowering but interesting one
Sweet and sour squash with toasted pistachios - 7/10 not a huge squash fan but it was good
Shrimp with garlic/chile sauce - 10/10 phenomenal
Mick’s royale with cheese - 9/10 great burger with super crispy edges

$136 for 2 with a wine tasting and cocktail included. Pretty damn reasonable. They do the burger for $9 on Mondays with any drink, solid deal.

I think I'd be good with 2 plates of those shrimp.

Although that does look like one tasty burger.

I was surprised how much shrimp there was for a $20 dish. The bread soaked in the sauce was incredible.

Wow, that's an amazing deal. (I feel kind of privileged writing that, but most of us in this thread are.) Will definitely have to try Ada's -- time to google where it's located.

Ada’s burger one of of my favs in town. The shrimp are also amazing. I call them shrimp French toast bc the bread underneath gets that French toast like texture. Also for brunch everyday they have a Aycd sangria for couples for I think $35. Both the red and white are incredible. Very underrated spot.

I concur...

And available with a drink at times for NINE DOLLARS?? That is insane. Angel Park was a pretty fun golf course and is right nearby, so may have to make an excursion at some point.
