Last week I was in San Antonio on bizness and took the wife along with me.
Wife likes taking in sporting events in different cities, which is awesome. But in San Antonio, all they have is the Spurs, which is basketball, and you couldn't pay me money to watch a bball game. But she looks up the Spurs schedule, and goddammit, they have a home game while we're there. And goddammit, we can see the Alamodome from our hotel window. But for some reason their lone home game last week was played in...

Sounds like the Musk hammer hit - if so sorry to hear it. My real world career was international health with a lot of that work funded by USAID. Glad I retired before having to go through the trauma of "laying off" hundreds of dedicated and very competent people doing important work.

I don’t understand what happened? Who is the person doing all the talking?
I’ve been running WAY above expectation at life lately.
Truly exceptional poker results (almost +70k the last two weeks), been dating a nice girl I really like for 3 months now, over two months quit from smoking, hitting the gym consistently every sometimes, even work is going fine.
I’m so conditioned to think that good things can turn awful in an instant, for reasons completely outside of my control, and they absolutely still could. In lots of ways. But it’s okay and I can give myself permission for nice things to happen for a while, too.
I hope absolutely everybody reading this is doing well.
