From a media standpoint, having the day 2 of the Mystery Millions fall on a Monday seems like a fail. This can be one of the most interesting spectacles of the entire WSOP with players going up to pull envelopes for huge $$$, but it's going to happen on a Monday morning-afternoon when most people in the USA are at work.

Running day 1 Thur-Sun is probably best for pure turnout, but Wed-Sat for day 1 with day 2 falling on Sunday would have generated more buzz and viewership. As it turns out, there's nearly nothing going on today in the sports world. Could've been a nice platform for WSOP to pull viewers at the start of the summer series. Cover day 2 and throw it up for free on Twitter/YouTube/Twitch to get people in the door and curious.

Maybe dumb question, does anyone know whether caesars 7 star companion card holder can use the 7 star line to register?

The answer should be yes.

Supposed to get all the benefits, not awards, of main card. Was a 7* companion before got 7* level myself. Was never refused any of the card benefits, including line jumps, free parking, no resort fees, etc. But I never played WSOP so no first hand experience.

Anyone know the official and unofficial rules for filming hands with iPhone at table for a vlog?

If it’s against the rules, would penalty be a DQ or missed orbit?

I see DNegs and lexy both film hands but seemingly only short clips. Idk if it’s an “ask for forgiveness” thing?

i always wondered this too because i thought you couldn't film in casinos but i've seen multiple personalities filiming hands. i feel like if i did it they would come down alot harder on me.

I want to say it’s frowned upon but if it’s your potential bust out hand, they sort of turn a blind eye.

Even DNegs isn’t filming a whole session and he gets special treatment in a number of ways. I think I’ve only seen his all-in hands on his vlog. He’ll talk about non-all-in hands after the hand or later breaks it down on his vlog.

Earlier I saw Phil all smiles about Tiger at the table.

Two heros, calm under pressure, and perform with the best of em, they look like cousins 😉

DNegs talked about this some years ago, he had to get some kind of special permission to film at the tables for his vlog, which WSOP obviously granted. However, with the growth of vlogs and such, I'm not even sure you need a special "hall pass" for this anymore, but I don't know. I think it's a case where if you're just showing the hand playout post-action and aren't being disruptive about it, they let it slide.

Come on now. Dealers are humans, too. He dosed off during break, not a big deal. Now if he refused to wake up and continue dealing, that’s a legitimate issue.

Poker dealers should be representative of poker players. There should be more criminal, low life, junkie and drunk dealers. Someone dozing off is light weight.

two years ago I filmed my bust out hand in the mini main.. pro tip, make sure the hand your filming is your last and you don't have to be worried about any possible penalty.

This gets my vote.

Not sure this is the right thread but is there anywhere online for ME sats/packages? Used to be every site would run loads of seats and now nothing anywhere. Exception of GG as I’m banned there anywhere else for EU/UK players to win a package?

I think every day might look like this, not sure.

Oh, you mean for outside the US, can't play this then unless you are in NV, NJ or MI.

Yeah anywhere online outside of the US. Wish I could play those lol. Back in the day every single site had packages, now nothing (as said haven’t checked GG as can’t).

I leave in 2 weeks for a 15 day trip
I only do cash games.
and I like the lower level rooms, Caesar's, Horseshoe, Golden Nugget.
Not a fan of the prissy rooms where it's uncomfortably clean and it's like you're attending a wake since no one ever talks, drinks, or has fun (looking at you Venetian)

Bring on my annual pet peeves . . . horrific tats, couples bringing their toddlers, and adults who smoke/vape anything, it's absolutely disgusting.
Grow up already. If you're over 30 and smoke or vape you're either really weak or really stupid.

On the plus side, endless 8 or 9 hour sessions nursing a buzz all day and meeting people from around the planet,
and I dont have to answer to anyone, any emails, any meetings any anything!

Oh, and playing in the city where I go from a 1/3 2/5 Nit-adjacent TAG at home to a borderline maniac without changing anything about how I play.
It's always surreal how tight the low stakes Vegas games are.
Just the idea of semi-bluff raising on the flop with a flush draw makes half the table wet their pants

In fairness, they could be both weak AND stupid.

The two preferences seem somewhat contradictory.

Yep.... all the toddlers, vapers and nice casinos are ruining vegas for everyone ... I've been saying it for decades 🤣

Probably the same way they did it in the past when they showed draw games with hole cards

draw games with hole cards is not the issue

One week in, turnout is up from last year for all three NLHE events but mostly down for other games. Some of the events that are down were later in the schedule last year, so it's not necessarily an apples to apples comparison.

I believe event #10 had a final number of entries of 197, the 171 number was by the end of day 1. And additional 26 entries in the first level of day 2 increased the final tally to 197.

Likewise registration is still open for the first level of day 2 in event #13.

Especially that first 1500 O8. The very first Wednesday this year vs last year it was on Monday after 1st weekend so a lot more people in town to fire.

Top ten in chips after day 1 of the $10K dealer's choice includes Ivey, Schulman, Robert Mizrachi, Dan Zack, and Lindgren. With PokerGo scheduled to stream the final table of a $1.5K NLHE event tomorrow, I hope they'll come to their senses and show the dealer's choice instead, if it still has the murderer's row at the top.
