The 2024 WSOP will take place at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas from May 28 to July 17, 2024, with the Main Event running from July 3 to July 17. The Main Event – poker’s undisputed freezeout world championship – will have four starting days, beginning on Wednesday, July 3. Players may also register directly on Day 2.

So yeah should block/check river and fold to a jam, even tho its a perfect spot to turn KK/QQ all fully in villains range to turn into a bluff. But it was well played untill river. Big raise on flop when there is ton of draws on the board with bottom set and then bet pot on turn. He gets massive value from all the draws if they dont get there on the river.
This is way too wide of a range for main event recs early on day 1. And the super nutted combos need a higher weight, and JJ is very possible. Early on day 1 in the main is really a spot where villain really truly can only get to certain spots with a few nutted combos.
This is why I hate this dipshit Blez.
I like collecting cards as much as the next guy but this attention-seeking behavior is cringe.
Yeah the 66/44 hand isn't absurd. Just two guys trying to slow play to death. On the river, Hachem either has Ax or a missed flush draw a lot. Hard to imagine you're getting paid from a lot of his hands without an Ace. Hachem just has one of the few hands with that can't value bet but has enough showdown value to not bluff.
I think only two things make sense to go any different in that hand.
1. Hachem bets the turn
2. Grinder bets the river as Hachem's check on the turn looks like a hand with SDV that will probably not bet the river.
AQ raises from MP, AQ calls from SB, JJ calls from BB.
Flop AhQdJh, checks around
Turn 8d, SB bets small, everyone calls
River 8c, SB bets small, BB ****ing calls with the effective nuts, MP calls

So unsatisfying, especially after the ridiculous 66 vs. 44 Grinder hand from yesterday. There is no such thing as an action flop on day 1 at the feature table apparently.

Didn't realize how mediocre the skill level is early on at the main event.
Day 1 rec/hobbyists are either terrified of going broke on Day 1 so will check a flopped set 3 times getting zero value, or alternatively are ready to blast off 300 bigs with bottom set, the board texture and action be damned lol.
