The 2024 WSOP will take place at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas from May 28 to July 17, 2024, with the Main Event running from July 3 to July 17. The Main Event – poker’s undisputed freezeout world championship – will have four starting days, beginning on Wednesday, July 3. Players may also register directly on Day 2.

Blom, Weisman, Haxton, Benyamine (Currently in 8th place. Gotta say, he's had an amazing run this series), Dan Smith, Brian Rast, Ben Lamb, etc etc...

Stacks go in 300bb deep cash games all the time and you dont need nuts vs 2nd nuts for it.
Main event day 1 is mostly ChipEV play while skipping on marginal spots, but you cant be waiting for someone to just donate stack to you if you want to get chips.
So wait. No $50k PLO coverage with huge names that people who are willing to pay to watch want to see? Instead we get Joe schmoe on day 1a of the main event… can the insanity stop?
50k plo still has 32 people left, I wouldn't really expect coverage of it right now, how many non main event tourneys got pre final table coverage, 2? Now, if they don't cover the final table, especially if it has name players, then yeah that's a problem.
... Which means good player's best way to chip up is running the 3-bet-and-c-bet hustle against the suckers.
What a nasty spot for Grinder. I love the scenario wrapped up in that hand. I’m not a particularly good tourney player, but I wonder if I’d call if it was a smaller WSOP tourney, or if it was a random online tourney. Being the Main Event makes it such a difficult situation. I think I’d snap fold in this case. Or wouldn’t have even bet the turn to begin with lol
i dont think it being the main event is the problem here, the problem is there are no re-entries

Weird to just flat AKs against agressive players 3bet but maybe he think that there is value to trap such a strong hand.
Anyways Hachem checkraise shoved big turn on T952flushdraw and Mizrachi had AT unblocking all bluffs he had to call 30k into 60k pot.
That should be a call right? 3bet pot

On the stream they had him saying “even if I’m right you still have a ton of outs”. It’s just a spot he doesn’t need to take day one of the main.

Haxton out close to the bubble of 50K PLO with a well above average stack going in, semibluffing with a draw on the turn, nut flush draw, double gutshot and pair. Haxton was 40% to win. Potted allin over a pot bet. Called by 2 pair. Opponent had a junk preflop hand, maybe a limped pot, may BvB.
