So stupid. Mateos was playing best poker of all time and I was sure that he is going for a deep run in this main.

Dodges a bullet KK vs AA and then goes broke in AA vs AK cooler.
Its just a luckfest. I thought the pros are taking over and we would be seeing some superpro win this year because there are just so many and they are so good.
But no, some ****ing fish will once again after sucking out 10 times more in this donkament.

Oh no someone busted out with AK in a tournament, that’s completely unprecedented.

No its not unprecedented. It happened at least once before to a player from Texas. Thats why it’s called the walking back to Houston hand because he was from Houston.

Japanese player attempted a hero call vs Song. Gone wrong and now Song 2nd in chips

What, who busted with AK? Some donkey overplayed their AK and busted?

The best playet in the tournament got his AA cracked by donkeys AK for chip lead pot. If he holds that he is for sure going deep in this, it was enjoyable to watch goat performance on the stream instead of these donk offs

I thought K9 was called Walking Back to Houston (per Doyle Brunson). It makes a straight and loses to AK.

I suppose it is time for a **No Spoilers** reminder.

Also, posts mentioning politics (whether serious or joking) will be immediately deleted. And please don't mention views of players (such as Foxen) on non-poker issues. They are entitled to their opinions and this thread is not the place to discuss them.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Nice to hear the nightshift back

Readers still not picking up cards on the feature tables though sigh

Nick and Ali have the great ability to make what would be a boring watch into an interesting one - I tune in solely for their commentary. GOAT commentary team

Well, for me personally she really grabbed my attention when she bagged Alex
Foxen. And for non poker nerds this translates into an interesting marriage. They are kind of the closest thing poker has to a prom King and Queen.

Second, I beleive she is the only woman with 4 wsop bracelets, and the purity of her purpose is inspiring.

damn, she's got 4 bracelets? That's impressive

I'm gonna guess person #1's list of known poker players:

Hellmuth
Ivey
Negreanu
Dwan (maybe)
Moneymaker
Johnny Chan
Matusow
Phil Laak
Anotnio Esfandiari
Doyle Brunson
Annie Duke

Hahah I'd say that's about right. And Seidel is the worst player ever because he punted with top pair against Chan in some movie they saw.

😆

I've said it before, I used to get called down like this when I was younger. My guess is they saw a young(ish) Asian guy, and profiled me as some spewy SAG trying to bully them off a pot with total napkins. In my head, I'm going WTF... and here I thought I was making it obvious what I had. No idea how Song plays, but I could imagine Matsuda having the same thought.

Wow, I didn't know that but confirmed. I also didn't know now that her first WSOP cash was in the 2013 ladies' event, but her three wins since came in open events. From what I see at a quick glance, she is one of only four women who have won multiple non-ladies' only events, along with Jen Harman, Vanessa Selbst and Loni Harwood Hui.

by spaceman Bryce k

Obviously that increases his chances.
Hellmuth is like the Phil Ivey of coaching.

Phil Hellmuth's coaching has done wonders for Mike Matusow's game. 🙄

As I’ve said earlier in the thread she is the strongest female player who is a current reg. Thats actually quite the statement. She is an incredible player period- also in fact thats a good top 4 list right there.

Also what I mean by purity of purpose; this is someone who loves poker in a way 98% of professional players do not. Someone who built their game brick by brick regardless of social consequences and did what it takes to become great.

Nick and Ali already have me rolling with that stare down hand. They make the broadcast sooo much more enjoyable all the way around

Have to call the 8 there especially given it looks like you have absolutely nothing and just hate yourself if it's no good

Lena sitting on 150 starting stacks. Well done, field. Have fun with that one.

Not surprised, lena is probably one of the top 3 MTT online players so of course he probably has a huge edge over some of these live pros

i saw last night he was around 80th place with 2million chips..i wonder how he shot up to 1st

Agree completely - more entertaining and better commentary by far.

There's so many 10-15BB stacks, and yet there's really nobody who has a ton

Yeah at the end of Day 5 last year there was a 16 million stack and a couple 12 million. Don’t see any close to that right now. Nobody zooming ahead yet

chip leader is only at 10 when the avg is 3.5

Rooting for Lightbourne not just a Bro but a Brit!!

Late night poker with Nick and Ali is all I wanted for my sub. I do hope there are some crazy late nights but I doubt there will be…
