Botfarm won $10 Million on WPN

Monitoring the development and profitability of poker bots has become an increasingly challenging task.

I do not have any statistical data to back me up, only anedoctal stuff. I'm grateful that Tyler has put in the work and made it public, and I believe a large amount of those listed where bots. I only said that because I saw a decrease of a lot of those accounts but not all of them which leads me to believe WPN must have their reasons to not ban all of them. I can be wrong or be right. I'll give you some examples on top of my head of players I remember

Diegordah- Spamming emotes at the table after getting coolered, flinging turds after winning a big pot. Trapping AA pre in a spot in which it is only good if the field over squeezes ( which means the bot makers would have to find statistical evidence for that and program it for that specific spot)

Nightwa1ker- Bluffing top pair river IP BVB when board brings a 4 to a flush in a run deep. This one seemed to me to be very driven by human emotion of " I really do want to win this pot" even though it had decent showdown value and better bluffs on the river (This one may be a little bit of a strecht, but it was what I felt)

Ph_almighty- Check-snap call on the river with 2 pair on a scary board. Long tank to bluff raise a bb lead while being UTG and BTN is still in play on the river( Seemed like he really was thinking because this is an unusual and tricky spot. I don't know if a bot really has these types of difference in timing on their actions.)

Densu1- Has some differences in stats compared to the analysis I saw earlier, plus I saw some tricky plays postflop that I do not think that it is in style with the general bot list.

As I said I do not have statistical evidence, and only anedoctal stuff. And they are only some examples that I can remember right now I can be wrong and I'm not trying to derail the thread. One thing to note is that on .ES sites there's loads of Kazakhs/Ukranian/Belars guys playing a really spewy, with very loose RFI and with similar Early finishes on sharkscope with a lot of these guys. It is possible that a human player plays on both sites, and those countries while having a presence on twoplustwo do have their own prefered forums I would imagine. That's all

Diegorah and Nightwa1ker haven't played since mid Jan (assume banned).

Densu1 played today and they are almost certainly a bot and match up very well with the other accounts using the same profile. If this has been cleared by ACR it's a pretty big error on their side as there's also an obvious bot glitch in the data if they looked for it.

I noticed a lot of them stopped exactly on 1/17/2024. Coincidence?

by GazzyB123

This is the thing. It's great news that they are banning the bots at last but your refund will be miniscule.

I lost my ass on WPN last year (and nowhere else) and I'll get a refund of something insulting like $27 or something.

The community is owed millions, and they'll get a pittance.

I havn't been following this thread much but I'll add my short story. When I was playing full time 2020-2021 my group and I started to notice some weird habits in the 200nl zoom pool. We ended up with a list of players that were suspect of cheating (almost always from Eastern Europe) and at first thought they were just colluding but we suspected they may just be bots. After reporting them we would sometimes get a refund of like 120 dollars or something. I cleaned up on Bovada/Ignition with a huge wr over relatively large sample size (500kish hands) but had a very tough time on WPN skins and it seemed to me like more than just the games being tougher so I quit the site.

If someone from Tyler's bot list still plays, then 99 % it is fault of ACR. I did my own analysis and can confirm that Tyler did very good job. ACR apparently has nobody that could do any sort of analysis, so they just ban bots step by step as people like Tyler give them names.

Add Nervous_Ned to the list of bots.

Sounds like a character from Garbage Pail Kids.

Not sure about the AA trap pre, the emotes, or the timings.
Turning tp into bluff on 4flush runout sounds like typical bot behavior to me, they like to attack checking ranges and don’t play balanced at all. At least I think that might be my experience. Let me know if you get any interesting hands. Did you see the hand posted on the last page ITT? The bots algorithm does crazy stuff sometimes.

River call is from densu1, one of the accounts I listed above ... lol

It only makes sense under specific assumptions.
- that BTN never has a busted fd ( I guess bc AQdd KQdd would 3b pre and/or bet turn ) and JXdd would always bet turn
- that BTN can’t have JTs or J9s for some reason idk (maybe JTs 3b pre and J9s fold pre?)
….then BTNs entire range becomes 65s

Or misclick or misreading the board.

I accidentally called river with 8 high a while back and won.

I know... Last game on the 17th of January...

Add Nervous_Ned to the list of bots.

I guess they can malfunction but I’m more interested in how to beat them.

I have played them heads up on Chico 2017-19.
Merge (Carbon) Poker in 2016.
There are now bots all over Ignition Casino too, I suspect the same ones.
They are not GTO. I assume your comment "especially the more time passes" assumes the bots will play closer and closer to GTO over time. That is the huge misconception about them.

Anyway you missed the point of my post. That hero call is absolutely not a misclick imo. Bots don’t misclick or misread the board lol.

My point, to clarify, is that the bots play an actual strategy, and in the absence of poker sites actions to remove them the best you can do is understand them. Idk why I’m on about it though. Just ignore me

They play an actual strategy -- and if you can identify leaks in that strategy you can exploit the living **** out of them.

Here are some new suspected bots not yet mentioned by Tyler as far as I know.
While I say "suspected", I am over 95 % sure of each of them based on their unique stats, even with a small sample. And that was before I opened them in Sharkscope to see that coincidentally all of the accounts I found based on stats analysis were created in last 4 months. What are the odds, huh?

And these are bots already mentioned by Tyler which played in just the last few hours.

Topning3 was already mentioned in the first post on 4th of January. He won Sunday Warmup for $47k three weeks ago.

Thanks for the list! I had a lot of these accounts tagged as well. I'll add 'clogypos' and 'Outremer' to the list.

Yes, both are bots. And also Sky4sail.

did anyone do something similar to what anton_marcus #480 and B28Magic #502 did with the statistics but for the sit and go and on demand games. the majority of the eastern europe accounts who play those games (before the country was removed) have similar statical late postion numbers.

and is the winningpokernetwork banned account and refunds list gone from there website.

we can now oficially say that this thread killed blitz nl200
