I stopped playing for a few years while working outside of poker. I still do a little coaching and went for the series this year. Nosebleed plo is a tough endeavor that not everyone is cut out for and so I prefer to play in home games via business connects than battle it out online against the people in that power rankings list lol
Thanks for responding. Appreciated your commentary a lot and I'm glad to hear youve found the right game for you.
Hey guys. I'm really sorry to interrupt the thread but this is important. Scammers that pretend to be WPN security representatives are sending out requests to players from top winners list in this thread. I got one and fell for it.
My documents (international passport, bank statement, and a video of me stating my name and location) have been compromised. On the 12th of July, I was contacted by scammers who pretended to be representatives of WPN security. I didn't notice the slight difference in their email address and thought they were legit, so I sent them what they requested (silly, I know).
Letter from scammers:
Devil is in the details:
The second 'i' in the sender's address (reply-to field) is
. But I didn't notice it. I was reading the email being tired after session and my brain processed this request as legit after having some rungood in June. Didn't give it a second thought. But when the scammers replied with the second email providing me with a link, it finally clicked in my head that I'm being owned:
The link is of course malicious. It points to a fake site, downloads an archive with 'gameplay recording instructions' masked as a basic .txt-file but in its substance is a .lnk-script that executes in Windows' PowerShell if you run it (right column):
Spoiler

Supposedly it downloads a keylogger on your computer which steals whatever you type on your keyboard, plus your clipboard history and sends all of this to scammers. Fortunately, I didn't do any of this and used a 'sandbox' (basically virtual machine) with Ubuntu on it to figure out what was this link about.
All in all, I didn't lose money but my documents and a video-selfie are now in the hands of scammers. I've already wrote to security departments of every site that I play on, warning them that most likely scammers will try and pretend to be me in order to gain access to my accounts. So now you know the story. Be vigilant and always write a new email to the official poker site address, asking them whether they really need anything from you, whenever a request like this pops-up in your inbox.
Once again, sorry for interruption, but I thought this might be important enough to warn people because I believe I'm not the only one who's been targeted like this.
This is SOOOO underrated and sick - we all know who he is, but, like, 20 SCOOP & WCOOP titles combined?! Never met the guy but talk about deserving

put a lock on your credit file, report your passport being stolen to passport office so that one is invalid, forward the email chain to mail gun to report the fraudulent account that’s using their service

I'm sorry that this happened to you. Thanks for sharing your experiences, but I do think this deserves its own thread in NVG to maximise exposure. Perhaps also contact WPN and inform them of the issue so that they are able to reach out to their customers via email or otherwise to warn them
I also have to say, I have experienced similar things recently and the level of sophistication that goes into their ruse is uncanny >.>
I'm interested in long-term coaching from an established winner at 2knl-5knl.
I've met with Owen Messere, but would like a few more options to see who I click with.
No doubt some of these players have 0 interest in coaching and hence have no contact info. Others though might be open to it and are just not extremely public.
If anyone has suggestions, please drop a comment or shoot me a DM. Especially if you have worked with someone like this in the past and have opinions about your experience.
Sorry if this is not the correct spot to post this. I've been using the high stakes threads to get ideas about where to start looking.

How about make seperate thread for CoinPoker hands ? Just skipping them everytime, especially all non nosebleed games. No known names and the only one posting them is JSpill. Would rather see GG1K at this point.

hard disagree. there are plenty of known names (who cares?) and what does it matter that only one person is posting CoinPoker hands?
thanks for posting JSpill and everyone else!

Yes
skipping over hands/posts you don't want to read is almost as simple as not complaining about people contributing actual content to these monthly threads. shame on you.

Seeing streamers on coinpoker play 20x higher stakes than their regular makes these hands feel like playmoney.
