Survivor: GENERAL THREAD
I wanted to post something Survivor related but realized there's no general thread about Survivor. Each thread is about a particular season or votes for hottest, best, etc.
Given that who knows when/if the show will come back, here's a general thread to post all things Survivor.
I won't ruin the OP with my content post, so it will come next.

Wonder if contestants see Charlie as a threat. Feel Venus should've targeted him there. Bring in Kenzie, probably all she needs, 2 votes on Charlie + idol = he goes home. My feeling is as viewers we see him having a strong game, but people on the island may not feel that way, at least not yet.

Venus should be a new era lock for S50 but wouldn't be suprised if her twitter antics have unfortunately soured her too much with production and instead we get one of the interchangable gamebots instead

Pros
She was cute for a week
Cons
She lacks self-awareness, as in having a poor read on how others perceive her
She imagines herself as a decision maker, yet the others mock her for not being aware that she initiated nothing
She is disruptive, but not in a purposeful way
She is arrogant, which can be an acceptable (and even desirable) trait in bright and aware contestants, but if you want to recruit people who are not smart enough to be condescending then the pool of past contestants fitting that bill is pretty large.
I would think (at this point) Kenzie, or Charlie would be far better choices.
Kenzie or charlie will likely win this year tho

All your 'cons' are exactly reasons why she should be brought back. Its a cast for a reality tv show not a super high roller bowl.
Charlie would be a total waste of a spot on a returnee season, unless if he's being brought back as a winner. But even then Yamyam and Gabler are both far better character new era winners than Charlie would be

I see your point regarding entertainment value and ability to create chaos adding value and watchability to the season, but imo she hardly even moves the scales on the valuable negative attributes. Is she a villian or sorts? Yes, I guess, but was she chaotic enough, memorable enough, influential enough......?
I personally wont remember her 2 seasons from now, but this is down season so few of them are leaving any lasting impact.

I just feel that S41-S46 are lacking so severly in anyone remotely villanious or chaos inducing that Venus and Q are the best choices we have so far for your above criteria.
I completely agree that old school Survivor had fantastic villians basically every season, who are much better casting choices than Venus but it's been completely lacking in the last 6 seasons.
He reminds me of one of those guys who's fun to hang with for a night, and the next night you realize you've seen the full extent of what he is in terms of fun and it gets boring fast.
Ben seems like a very nice guy who is not well suited to this game. Very unathletic, anxiety issues, etc. I feel like he's been worn down by the conditions and lack of food. The editors aren't showing him because he has no chance to win and hasn't given them much to work with.
Don't get me wrong just going on this show at all takes some balls so I'm not knocking Ben... I just don't think he's well-suited to it.
At least he understood what food was available.

This is the best season of survivor since season 38 (Rick Devens).
I am not sure if we have ever seen the whole vote revealed before Jeff pulled the names. It really made me think Q was playing his idol, but then thinking about it that would have removed some drama.

Maria obv burned now that she voted Charlie. If she doesn't win immunity, she gone. That being said, she's the only one who knows another immunity idol is likely out there.
