Survivor: GENERAL THREAD
I wanted to post something Survivor related but realized there's no general thread about Survivor. Each thread is about a particular season or votes for hottest, best, etc.
Given that who knows when/if the show will come back, here's a general thread to post all things Survivor.
I won't ruin the OP with my content post, so it will come next.

I can't figure out whether I think Q is amazing because of who he's playing alongside by comparison, or just because he's amazing. I had not resumed watching as yet for the original season with "Chaos Kass" - was it anything like this? If Q somehow shipped this, I'd be thrilled.
Just watched the ep last night and basically turned to my girlfriend and said right away I'd never vote for Liz to win anything ever after that meltdown. It was just...wow. Like if I was her daughter I'd be embarrassed that I was even associated with that childish display.
Plus, the pity rice had to be the most hilarious thing ever. When she said she was allergic to chicken I rolled my eyes. Nobody in my twenty years of experience in the nutrition field has ever been allergic to chicken.
She basically said she’d rather leave the game at 7 with the idol than still be in the game at 6 without the idol.
Pretty dumb of her to not play it tonight. Not being results oriented here, but just based on the situation. She has to know that she’s the one being targeted by Maria, Q and Ben so she’s literally putting her Survivor life in Charlie’s hands. Just too risky.
I guess Charlie must have done a convincing enough job making her think he was voting for Q with her. Or maybe she just had terrible social game like she’s had the whole time, and made a poor decision once again.
Charlie is absolutely crushing this season and I think he'd be a mid tier winner at best. That's the lack of skill that's on display lol. Kudos to him and Maria for using Q as a perfect shield to vote off who he wants though.

My feelings on this season are generally positive; for years it feels like we've said "there are no villains anymore!" "there's no conflict and bad feelings anymore" "everyone's a boring gamebot!"
then this year comes and Q is pretty much a villain everyone hates. Liz is an emotional wreck who somehow pulls herself together every vote to make the correct move. People are getting blindsided holding idols all over the place! There's no giant inventory of advantages which has been a consistent complaint.
Survivor is giving us what we asked for, so I have no complaints. Will we get a "worthy" winner? I imagine so - I could be happy with Kenzie, Charlie, or Maria winning. No to Q or Liz or Ben.
Once we got past Bhanu sucking all the air out of it, I think this season has been pretty good.
It's been good ... but the people getting together with idols... hard to say that's good gameplay

Its weird. This cast has some big, entertaining characters. Way more so than last season, yet last seasons cast was better overall and I enjoyed it more.
Venus should be a new era lock for S50 but wouldn't be suprised if her twitter antics have unfortunately soured her too much with production and instead we get one of the interchangable gamebots instead
It's crazy how close Venus came to winning that IC, literally just had to drop the ball into the basket. Maria almost certainly goes home if that ball drops in. Then to top it off, Venus finds the idol to give herself a second chance... and doesn't play it.
Charlie definitely getting the winner edit as of now, and for sure he's playing a good game albeit vs. weak competition... but the only satisfying and fitting end to this season imo will be Q winning.

I am on full-blown tilt now at all these idiots getting voted off in a row with idols. Each week it just gets more and more comical.
Absolutely love that in the past 3 episodes or so we've gone from talking about Kenzie being a lock to win, to loving boss-mode Maria, to Charlie crushing the season. Gotta give the Survivor producers some credit for making it difficult to tell who's gonna actually take this thing

Feels like between Venus and Liz this year we've got a few cast members who aren't really familiar with not getting their way in life, and have trouble dealing with it (Liz meltdown, Venus absolutely losing it in social media).
Theyre geared up with good jackets and hoodies this season.
