Survivor: GENERAL THREAD
I wanted to post something Survivor related but realized there's no general thread about Survivor. Each thread is about
If there are only 5 players left, wouldn't the average of any specific player getting to the final 4 be 80%?
Joe blew it by not asking Shauhin more direct and specific questions. As it is now, he still does not know if Shauhin left the game with an idol or if Kyle and Kamilla lied to him.
Apologies I meant to say automatically making final 4
I.e 20% he wins immunity
40% either he or Eva wins immunity (extremely high chance she plays the idol on him if she wins)
Saying you think Joe is going to stealth cut Eva to get her vote on the jury invalidates your reads. I assume anyone saying this is just trolling.
I think if Joe is sitting next to Eva at FTC, he easily wins. But there's a strong chance a butthurt jury could sympathy vote for her, so why take a chance? And if she goes out at fire, even if he puts her there, she will still insta vote for him to win. You only need 5 votes, so having one in the bag is a good idea.
Thinking about the potential FTC combos that remain, the only one I can see Joe losing if he's there is a Joe/Kyle/Mitch trio. If Joe and Kyle both get there, I honestly think it's a toss up final vote.
I dunno, there have been enough confessionals about how folks (ex: Kyle, Shauhin) have been calling Eva the “heart” of the alliance. She’s gotten credit for keeping folks sane/calm during paranoia episodes (such as the David vote).
So if it’s Eva + Joe + Mitch as F3, Eva already has plenty equity without any folks being butthurt at Joe.
Seems to be some hype that the cast of season 50 may be revealed soon

I find it weird they can't have literally anyone between seasons 15-30 that wants to join the cast. And way too many new era players for my liking. I mean, a lot of them were just in Season 40 I guess, but to have so many iconic players that won't be a part of Season 50 is pretty sad.
Looks like it's May 28th the cast will be announced.

A lot of the names I heard being in the mix between 15-30 have apparently been cut
Coach, Spencer, Kass, Abi Maria to name a few.
I could see Malcolm sneaking it but ultimately there are a of people competing for a maximum of 5 white male slots
Pleasantly surprised, I thought Joe would win but I personally thought Kyle played the best game
Didn’t think Kyle bragged enough with the undercover moves. Never mentioned the David vote out. he still won so what do I know
Yeah, I kept waiting for Kyle to talk more about his big moves, especially the Shauhin voteout. Kamilla really set it up for him
Does Eva have autism?
Congrats to Kyle and well deserving.
Something I've found interesting is i've seen a lot of people saying things like;'they'd be mad and the stupidest cast of all time to take Joe + Eva to the final five' 'they have to vote out Joe or Eva immediately now as they are auto locks to win if they get to the end' etc etcPersonally I don't think either are them are looking like huge jury threats at this stage and espec
Well I may have been wrong about calling Mitch as the winner back at the merge but at least I was spot on about this all the way back in episode 4.
Fun ending to a bottom tier season.
Kyle is the deserving winner but I was really disappointed with the jury/F3 questioning.
In editing we are fed lots of nonsense filler and we get to the most important part of the show and it seemed like they must have had 2 hours of Q and A and edited down to like 5 or 10 mins for the viewers.
I hate to be anal but more structure please. Each juror have a specific question and get three specific answers. On one question three or 4 jury members cut in and I am not even sure who was asking the questions and who was answering them at that point. I didn't even hear and answer from 2 of them on one question.
I mean where was the time for Kyle to explain and map out several steps, not just the big one.
The look on Eva's face was priceless though when the talk of "her" move got flipped on its head.
In the after show......
Why did the topic of David getting voted out not get linked to the fact that he was actually onto something when he was adamant that Kyle just would not go for the planned play and kept wanting to save Kamilla.
Who knew "in game" that Kyle and Kamilla where a solid 2?
To Mitch, Why did he not push for Joe at final 7 (mind you Mitch's victory seemed to be "lasting" and not winning).
To Kamilla. Why tell Kyle you won't take him to F2 if she win's immunity. It just gives him permission to do the same. You can tell him after you win immunity.
Also, Kamilla would have had more equity than Joe at a Joe/Kamilla/Kyle final 3. Hindsight perhaps, but they all overestimated the number of votes Joe would get. Just imagine how this plays out? Joe beats a sobbing Eva in fire-making and then goes and sits with Kyle and Kamilla??
PS. Seemed like Kamilla had a very hard crush on Kyle...
Color me surprised at the result, but I'm not disappointed. I had Kyle marked as a possible winner at the merge, but Joe's edit seemed to be so insanely strong that I thought it was impossible he would lose.
Still have to watch the finale, and will be very interested because apparently Joe is a lock for Season 50 and will be interesting to see if he plays the same type of game.
I'm going to have to remind myself who half these people are, ngl
Some perspective re: “bottom tier season” - this is the first season since S39 where I haven’t tuned in every week (instead watching a few episodes at a time in batches). As a result I found myself rooting for the “strong challenge competitor alliance” (Joe, Eva, Kyle, Shauhin) to pull off a Pagong and make it to final 4.
I could totally see myself rolling my eyes at this season if I was tuning in every week. And I probably would’ve liked e.g. S22 a lot more if I could have fast forwarded a lot to the end. Perhaps some seasons are better consumed as binges.
Awful season. Very good winner.
I still don’t know about evicting Mitch at f5, but winning the final immunity cures everything
Kyle figured out early that Joe was a jury goat and made every move to get to the end with him

Good idea or no, the man was never going to do that. Ever. It wasn't whether it was a good idea for his game I was refuting. I was just suggesting you were drastically misreading Joe if you thought he would EVER do that to Eva.
I still havent even watched the finale, about 50/50 on whether I will or not.
