I wanted to post something Survivor related but realized there's no general thread about Survivor. Each thread is about
Jeff did pretty well with the impressions. Christian's was spot on
I might be in the minority, but I like Rizo and think he is really in tune with what's going on. I understand how his personality can be grading, but the dude is just having fun and playing well.
A lot of viewers seemed to feel like he was overdoing it in 49, yet he made it all the way to firemaking with a public idol.
The Devens knee pat at the end telling him good job was very telling. That was respect to an unknown from a big time player.

Yes and no. In last week's 'next on' segment it apparently showed the immunity challenge looking like it's set up as 3 stations of 5 each.
They also showed a clip of everyone running off into the jungle so my best guess is the first two to find a thing gets to sit the night out over on exile island
He had a speech that interrupted one of the S49 episodes. I believe it lasted around 20 minutes back then, but yeah, there is no guarantee it's 20 minutes or less. Who knows?
I'm assuming CBS will make sure that none of Survivor is missed.
Just hoping that Paramount+ will have a smoothly edited version for me to watch tomorrow.

I think its beyond obvious that Jeff basically wants this game to be as little skill as possible and as much randomness deciding the winner as possible. Kind of gross that he's hell bent on destroying this game. Even still, it's such a great game that he can't fully take the skill out of it even though he tries.

I wouldn't say this. There was actually a good point by someone in the episode last night - if you build a small alliance and expect it will carry you to the end, that's not how Survivor works anymore. You have to build relationships and bonds with people from all over because you know in today's Survivor there's going to be swaps and merges and switches.
There's going to be some luck involved (even if you look at yesterday's challenge - no big guy ever wins that challenge, but there are other challenges where being a big dude is a huge advantage), but you can minimize it's impact with your actions.
Lame twist. At least they got rid of some of the deadwood.
Colby has confirmed in his exit press that production wanted to pull him from the game before Tribal council but he convinced them to let him get voted out instead.
Finally caught up. I watched all the episodes in the last week. So far I'm liking the season. I didn't mind the triple boot. Luck of the draw on who you ended up with, but that's life.
