V1 (main V) - bad reg. White male. Late 50's-early 60's. Played with him a few times. He VPIPs too wide, without much of a 3B range. Post-flop, he can be trappy or face-up. I've seen him slow-play a vulnerable made hand on a draw-heavy board and fast-play thin value on a scary-connected board. His betting / raising range is too value-heavy. He'll chase his draws in spots where

I pride myself on reading players, but I am amazed at all the assumptions after playing with someone a few times. I’m certain my reads would be different.

This hand is the type where I get really pissed at not getting value. I’m hoping to have a clear read of my opponents when this happens.

The reason I don’t like calling here is that villain made his move and if you call, he may check out the rest of the way. Not many bet folders in my pool, so I think you get called before he thinks clearly.

With value or a bluff, I like doubling the bet to 250. I expect to get called and jam the turn with a bluff / possibly bet small to induce with value - people call the flop more often than the turn.

In my experience it’s usually a mistake not to bet when you have the nuts.
