Kidney stones are the nut low

Kidney stones are the nut low

Going through my first one right now. Was in the ER yesterday in excruciating pain. Morphine and a double dose of Dilauded did nothing.

This is seriously horrible pain and I don’t wish this on anyone. Can’t sit, can’t stand, can’t lay down, can’t sleep, can’t relax. Literally curled into a fetal position a couple times.

The hospital says it’s 4.2mm big which is right on the cusp of them needing to break it apart. They decided not to so I get to enjoy passing this au naturale.

This sucks.

Probably depends on your plan, but many plans will allow urgent/ER docs to make referrals.

I had called around and all the urgent cares said they don’t make referrals at all. The ER people were jerks when I called and wouldn’t give me any info.

Regardless, I’ve been pain free for about five days now! Haven’t seen it pass but it may have and I missed it. Went to work this week and everything so all is well on this front now.

I’m changing to a low sodium diet and drinking more water. Less animal proteins, too. I encourage others to do the same so they don’t have to go through having one of these. It was torture.

As a proactive measure, I throw in a glass of grapefruit juice once in a while, figure the acid may help dissolve the stones in their infant stage.

Yup I started drinking more citrus after my second kidney stone (which was relatively mild, thankfully).

If there is ever a next time...

Kidney stone or a trip to WDW.

Tough choice.

hope to hell they hose it down every morning
sir it's only logical now you realize how important certain pieces of cathertic sanitary procedures being applied directly to seats by the equivalent of a carney on county fair property checks all the required health insurance boxes from your primary provider

You must be doubled over enough to be shorter than this bar to ride this coaster.

Rides in the final car are complimentary.

should be covered by insurance

Why not both?
