all joking aside, it seems countries with a history of struggle over the past century or so have developed a stronger affinity for flavors initially intended to mask the acrid taste of sawdust and uric acid

Found these recently in a convenience store in Koreatown (LA). So delicious. Banana favored puffs. The texture of the outside had like a caramelized crunch before the “softer” crunchiness of the puff. The flavor was like a combo of real banana flavor and fake banana flavor. So so good.
100% would crush. I'll definitely look for a bag my next trip to H-Mart.
Damn - banana candy is some of my favourite candy.

These Wasabi Peanuts are awesome! Tastes just like the peanuts in that (Don't call it Chex) Planters (?) Mix I posted about upthread a few years ago. So good. Crispy wasabi shell over a dry-roasted peanut. Good wasabi flavor w/out being overpowering. But I really like wasabi, so maybe tread lightly if you aren't a big fan.
I used to get a $100 TJ’s gift card every year for Xmas and it all went towards their snacks. I’m better with it now but it would be so easy to fall back lol

Picked up a bag on sale this weekend. It's...interesting. Lime forward, hint of avo. I expect I'll finish the bag, but unless it's on sale again/still, I probably won't buy another.

I haven't had Doritos in a couple years for whatever reason, are they thinner than they used to be?
the bags are certainly smaller.
the "party size" bags are now the size of what the regular bags used to be. the regular bags are now deli lunch bag sized.
Agree with this. Didn't notice any difference in the chip itself, but I don't get Doritos often either.
I stopped eating Doritos when I found out that there's enough preservatives in a bag of them to be able to mummify a small dog.
