We get so many solar hustlers knocking on our door that I put up a sign saying, NO SOLAR SALESMEN
Maybe they will send saleswomen then.
I put up a no soliciting sign at my business. Salespeople came in anyway, and when we called them out, they just denied that what they were doing counted as "soliciting".
I too wasn't aware that home depot had a veteran program. Took about a minute to get approved for it.
Although Lowes is closer to my house there are things like ryobi tools that are only at home depot.
HD veterans discount is whack - I used to get it but then my number stopped working in store but if I order something online for pickup or delivery they still apply the 10%.
Lowes seems to always work as expected and also works for your spouse or children at self checkout as long as they enter your phone number and scan a drivers license that matches your address.
ACE near me is much more like a mom & pop store with an impressive inventory, was able to get a cast iron fireplace grate off the shelf when both HD & Lowes didnt stock and only offered 7 day delivery. My peeve with them is often their online inventory doesnt match whats in the store and when I mentioned it to the clerk they just laughed and said 'you cant trust that - you need to call first'
True Value is the closest store to me but really only use them for misc nuts/bolts/screws
