That's weird. It's been a few years, but I don't recall being annoyed by any delays. Have you passed your statement date yet? You'd think that could be the only hold up.

The date was 2/1. They are also paying out the bonus first. It is odd.

Anybody have Chase Sapphire Reserve?

tried getting the frontier airlines card but they kept sending it to the wrong places and eventually just told them to cancel it

They did you a favor. Frontier airlines is the nut low.

yes this was before i realized that all flights had seats with zero cushion that couldn't be reclined

They did pay it out two weeks late. I also got the offer for a business account. Probably similar to what you got.

Oh, and lots of loan offers.

I swore off Frontier after a trip with the family where they were awful (I was expecting them to be bad, but this was a terrible experience). I broke that during covid when I snagged a $20 flight to Las Vegas.

I don't recline anyway, but how did you not realize what Frontier was? Maybe Spirit will come through with a credit card for you.

That can't be a real picture of the seats. Or at least it has to be some kind of trick perspective pic. No way they're giving you only the back half of the bottom part of the seat.

no that's real - it gets them about 6 more rows of seats compared to other carriers (and saves on fuel with lighter seats)

my knees gently touch the seat in front of me while seated

Got an amex platinum with 175k point offer. Stuck around for all the statement credits

Use Chase Amazon card for all amazon purchases

rotate between a handful of 3% balance transfers for liquidity purposes

just looked at that, i see how you can definitely get more than $900 of value out of owning one, but i think i'd rather not deal with the hassle and just stick to cards with no or super low annual fees

Got points for normal spend
Used points to book flight to New York
300$ hotel collection credit lets us stay in Times Square for about 80$ a night
Using card gets us free upgraded room and early check in
Using card gets us 100$ hospitality credit at hotel
Drink for free at rooftop bar
100$ resy credit gets me a free steak
Buy a lulu lemon bag for free with 75$ statement credit to bring back souvenirs
Clear+ is free with statement credit so breeze through security both ways
Free food and drinks at the Amex lounge both ways

Free YouTube premium and hbo with statement credits

So not “free” just distributed across the 900$. This is on top of the 1500-2k in incentives you can get just to sign up

hmm, i viewed it as a digital clipping coupons thing but is pretty easy and straightforward?

Yeah, just spend on approved stuff and you automatically get statement credits

I saved almost all my points throughout the year last year and used them as cashback to pay for the Christmas presents I got for my kids, wife, and family.

Spending habits stayed the same, balance paid off on all cards every month, and just like that - free Christmas shopping!

I will say I’m a bit annoyed Caesars no longer partners with anyone for Diamond status. Losing that really drove my rates up for a WSOP hotel this year.

You do need to sign up for some of the benefits like the Resy or Lululemon statement credits. On cautionary tale, don't tell your wife about the Lululemon quarterly $75 statement credit because they buy more Lululemon and "forget" they already used it during the quarter.

Wife and I use the $300x2 hotel credit each year to have a free night in downtown Denver for free.

Finally got my Robinhood Gold credit card (not the real gold one) 3% cashback on everything.

I hate Amex. During a time the economy was in the dumper I was traveling to Vegas. I used my Amex for everything since they had free good car rental insurance. There I was in the rental car line when the desk agent told me my card was declined. I had like an 18 grand card limit, and my balance was something like 4 grand. They were not in a very solvent position and some beancou

You must get your financial acumen from the Trooper97. You have an extremely low credit line, carry 25%+ balance a month and you call and complain and refer to the customer support agent as β€œthe a-hole”.

β€œPaid more than the minimum”. 😆

The $1/$3 NL ($1/$2?) financial experts and low rollers.

They regularly email lists of offers. You can just click click click the ones you want and the rest is automatic.

yeah can even log into account, view offers, and click while u scroll down. whole process takes 2 mins if that.
