OOT Super Bowl Squares 2025

OOT Super Bowl Squares 2025

Mod note: OP has been edited to show the final payouts for the $200 board which was changed to $100.

Like it or not, it's that time again.

$10 - 125/250/125/500(final score)
$25 - 300/650/300/1250(final score)
$50 - 625/1250/625/2500(final score)
$200 - Pays on every score change & final score

Even though it didn't fill at $250 and I had to drop it to $125, the "every score change" board seemed to be mostly well received last year, so we're going to run it back. Only this year I'm dropping it to $200. If it doesn't fill, it'll either run with blank squares or again be cut in half - depending on how many sell.

Here's how this board works - every time points go on the board, somebody wins. If a field goal is the first score, whoever has 3-0 wins. If the next score is a touchdown by the other team, 3-6 wins. When the extra point gets kicked, 3-7 wins. Easy enough? Good. The end of quarters or halftime don't matter in this pool. Final score does. Whoever has the final score right will be the big winner. Instead of having one set amount for each score change, or a set amount for the final score winner, and risking a high or low scoring game taking away from the spirit of this pool, I'm going with a sliding scale.

of score changes

1-5 = $1200 per change
6-8 = $800
9-12 = $600
13-25 = $400
25+ = everything split evenly

Here it is broken all the way down
Score changes = Amount per score change / Amount to final winner(in addition to the money from the final score change)
1 = 1.2k per change / 8.8k to the final
2 = 1.2k / 7.6k
3 = 1.2k / 6.4k
4 = 1.2k / 5.2k
5 = 1.2k / 4k
6 = 800 / 5.2k
7 = 800 / 4.4k
8 = 800 / 3.6k
9 = 600 / 4.6k
10 = 600 / 4k
11 = 600 / 3.4k
12 = 600 / 2.8k
13 = 400 / 4.8k
14 = 400 / 4.4k
15 = 400 / 4k
16 = 400 / 3.6k
17 = 400 / 3.2k
18 = 400 / 2.8k
19 = 400 / 2.4k
20 = 400 / 2k
21 = 400 / 1.6k
22 = 400 / 1.2k
23 = 400 / 800
24 = 400 / 400
25 = 400

Last year there were 13 score changes and the average has been about 14 over the past 10 years.

I'm sure there will be questions, so ask away.

Nailed the $10 board. Gonna request a redraw on the 50 though. Thanks in advance!

You're welcome, and I'm sorry.

Also this blurb about which combos have never hit at the end of a quarter of final score in any previous SB, per USA Today:

Nice to see my 5-4 in a local $50 pool is dead in the water. 😂

Considering all of my squares went to some JL154 fellow, I demand a reroll

Just transpose the numbers on each square. That'll fix it for you!

That's frustrating as I'm usually so good about making sure I have names right. What's weird is I have it correct on my main tracking sheet, and that's what I copy from when I add it to individual lists. I guess I saw it was wrong and fixed it on the main sheet, but not on the other lists. Apologies, my friend.

The good news is it's correct on the $100 one!

The first time I met people from 2p2 IRL they all just referred to me as letter-letter-number-number-number, so I suppose you got it right anyway.

I find it interesting that, when I've met 2p2ers, and we know another 2p2er we've both met IRL, we'll refer to that person as and not .

Some 2p2ers I can't imagine meeting in person and calling them anything but their username. Tom Ames, let me apologize now. If we ever meet in person, it's going to be really hard to call you anything but Tom.

I have 3 of those 11 combos in the $10 pool. One time?

Last year I bitched about my 2/5 until it scored me 2500 smackeroonis, so I guess I really shouldn't complain.

It's never too late. WSOP time always seems to get a little bit of interest in another meetup.

Never too late. We can all meet up at 4 o'clock at Luby's for the blue plate special.

I might consider changing my name. There are some things I probably wouldn't mind leaving behind me. Besides, it's a bit of a family tradition.

I'm in, but it's gonna have to be somewhere I don't risk anyone I know seeing me with two guys decked out in Cowboys' paraphernalia. I may not have a stellar reputation, but I do have some pride.

I'll take 4x 10$ & 4x 25$, sending now

I'm in for a meetup especially if it's in Vegas. Though I'm not sure if I'm invited for beers.

OK by me.
I've never forced anyone to drink a beer and seldom intervened to try to stop someone from drinking one.

I just checked my calendar and next week it will have been two years since I set foot outside of my state. And I'm not even on house arrest!
