Quit your job, obviously.

Stay gold, dogboy.

What is the simplest, most polite way to discourage anyone in the office from ever talking to you?

Stay gold, lobsterboy.

.

Tell them you would be glad to write a letter of recommendation as they obviously should be working elsewhere because they are currently overqualified, underpaid, and underappreciated in this shithole.

You've heard of resting bitch face? Cultivate resting raving lunatic face, that way people go out of the way to avoid talking to you and you don't have to say a word.

Loudly fart whenever someone engages.

In other news, Target sent me an email that access to card services would be down from the 11th to the 18th so they can implement a whole new look.

It's unfathomable to me how this takes a site down for a week. Run parallel servers (if it's something major like a framework change), do beta for a while. If it's not something major, there's no excuse.

I can't imagine a CFO-type person getting told, "Hey, the card site is going to be down for a week while we implement the new look," and the immediate response being anything other than, "You're fired." Perhaps prefaced by "Are you ****ing kidding me?"

They just write it off, Jerry.

You don't even know what a write off is.

we need to know the race and gender of the cfo before we can have an informed opinion

Perhaps taking a week to compose an excuse for their existence.

hope we can all agree this is a safe conversational space
exactly how serious is your target shopping habit?

Heh. Not serious at all, probably ~$20/month for household stuff.

I am, however, considering dumping my stock because of this.
