Don't sell yourself short, I'll bet you threw many more on the roof than he did...
That sumbitch broke a window when he was throwing while with me one day. I never went by that customer's house to collect again, so he had a free paper for the rest of my paper throwing career. I kept expecting to hear from my supervisor about it, but I never heard a peep.
The funniest part of that story was that window went unreplaced for at least several months. And it was literally across the street from a glass company!
basketballs players wearing shoes that aren’t uniform colors

two friends and i were paired with a random fourth at their home course (we're talking about golf)
the rando obviously had solid game, no doubt single digits, although he didn't really display it today to his full ability, and while chatting on the 17th tee asked him who he was rooting for in the masters next weekend

That flew over my head like a chicken wing at a food fight at the local diner, but since you’re such a nice guy, maybe there’s a compliment in there somewhere.
Back in the late 90s early 00s when Tivo and DVR made it possible to record golf. I had a season pass set for the Saturday and Sunday rounds. I could identify 95% of the golfers by the way they addressed the ball. After the swing add 3% more.
Today if the field at the Houston Open or the Valero were all in a bar together and I walked in I'm not sure how long it would take for me to recognize any of them.
I still like to bet on golf, but it's just names and numbers and course statistics that determine the bets. Probably better that way because my preconceived notions don't get in the way.
I still try to watch the Sunday rounds, but it's not a priority like it used to be.
