New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.
In
doggy wants some Rick's brekkie.
Love that steak egg and cheese bagel from Rick. Just realized the 2$ breakfast sandwich deal applies…. What a time to be alive.
I had it recently, wasn’t as good as I remember it from 25+ years ago, but still pretty good. Still prefer the sausage egg McMuffin…want to try spicy one, anyone tried them yet?
Last time I got a steak egg cheese bagel, I remember I really liked the fried onions the most. "Steak" is really a reach term, but not really ground beef like a burger.
BOGO Whoppers this week.
Mark would be in dream land here with how many new places are opening or that are here, lol.
Well until he sees how much prices are.
Today's Taco Bell drop is a $1 Nachos Bellgrande! Gotta be quick at 2pm pdt.
Wish they'd bring back the 7-layer burrito. I used to love it + potatoes, but now if I want one, they have to be slow, and drive-thru isn't an option. "Can I get the cheesy rice and bean burrito minus the cheese and jalepeno sauces, and could you add shredded cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and potatoes?" I'll ask. "Can you say that again?" "Yes, I'd like..." "That'll be $18.26."
I can't bring myself to do it more than two or three times a year.
I loved the 7-layer! It was also the go to for my vegetarian friends.
I seem to recall that it originally debuted for 99c.

Funny. I was a vegetarian for a long time, and that's why I started ordering it. It probably was 99c, but I don't remember. I was exaggerating the price in the last comment, but it does come to 8-9 dollars after the add-ons.
Most apps and TB specifically allow for this level of customization. Add and remove ingredients, preparation (grilled, ldo), etc. Figure out what you like and save it as a Favorite.
Time machine?

Yeah, but at a certain point you're just creating your own dish, and as someone who used to work in restaurants, that can be frustrating. Minus an ingredient or two or asking for something on the side isn't a big deal, but making seven changes to a single item is a bit much, which is why I don't order it often or when they're busy.
lol... The staff at my local TB often do favors for me! And I make sure to give them complements on the food before heading out. 😀
I always enjoy that scene! So tense.
One of my favorites!
Yep. All time favorite food scenes + this one.
Slight derail never hurt anyone.
LOL!
I had forgotten that one.
Reminds me of a mom & pop steakhouse near my hometown when I could barely afford a steak. You told them what cut you wanted, and they told you how it would be cooked. If that didn't suit you and you wanted your steak cooked differently, you had to order a different cut!
Texas was: One riot, one ranger.
Mississippi was: One cut, one temperature.
