New fast food discussion/review thread

OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

I got a reply.

my compensation:

Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich or Spicy Sandwich or Grilled Chicken Sandwich or 4 ct Chick-n-Strips™ or 12 ct Chick-fil-A® Nuggets
Offer expires: 01/01/2026

I don't feel like replying back. I'd rather be able to get a spicy deluxe vs a regular spicy but that's FF life I guess.

This is how I’d counter.

Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich and Spicy Sandwich and Grilled Chicken Sandwich and 4 ct Chick-n-Strips™ and 12 ct Chick-fil-A® Nuggets and Spicy Deluxe
Offer expires: 01/01/2026

KFC chicken sandwich at $3.99 is pure value.

Reminds me of the “I writ some letters to some companies” thread from years ago. Never underestimate the value of a hand written note!

ok my run good with the $7 daily double meal (modified) finally came to an end, at the hands of the south tacoma way MCDs.

My Costco food court now has a Calzone ($7). Pretty good! But lacks the value of their pizza.

Spent 7$

Arby's looks fire

I was a bit underwhelmed with the Costco calzone, kind of salty and reminded me of 90s public school system french bread pizza flavors. Not terrible, but not craveable IMO. I'd definitely rather have a slice of pep and a slice of cheese for $5, instead of a calzone for $7; I think I'd probably take the $1.50 hot dog straight up too.

Tough to disagree with this. But definitely worth trying once.

Tomorrow is National Taco day! Taco Bell is giving away $1 Cantina chicken tacos as drops throughout the day. Starting at noon (edt) and going every 2 hours.

+1 it's not bad, worth trying. Also, it's massive, it is a ton of food. Just not particularly delicious food.

Did CFA for dinner, the wife got the grilled chicken pretzel bun bacon cheddar sandwich. Late in the game I know, but man I thought the bite I had of hers was really really good. The dijon mustard was delicious on it. I also think the grilled was solidly better than a fried chicken option would have been with that particular combination of flavors.

I was never a big fan of the costco chicken bake.

Any old people remember when kmart did a deep fried thing called a pizza snack? Back when kmarts both had a sit-down diner and a fried food stand in the front.

It had the unique greasy crunch that only happens I think when food is fried for too long, but not so long as to get burnt. I sometimes get french fries like this, but it's rare.

They go to being kind of crackly crunchy, and the inside isn't fluffy anymore. I enjoy it

G-dang I'm ancient

Forgot the $8 big mac deal was a thing. Is it actually in play?

I wish I had chose the grilled chicken for my pretzel club experience -- which I won't repeat because the bun did absolutely nothing for me. and my dijon packets I could not tear open.

Lol I forgot about that. My wife made me open her dijon packet for her, those bastards are locked up tight!

That would be a misdemeanor if I didn’t miss.

RBEES!!

Have you seen the steak nuggets? The essence of a whole steak, just the meat. Only 340 calories!

I wish I could've been eating that my whole life. But the bowl doesn't look bad either, steak nuggets, fried onions, and macaroni!

Haven't been to McD's in a while. I see they're doing monopoly again. I also have to burn some points.

Any obvious rewards that I should use? 4500pts for a filet of fish sounds pretty good, 3000 pts for a med french fries sounds terrible.

burning points on fries is the worst, as the are $2 any size in app.

filet o fish is a solid option. I personally would opt for a QPC at 6000 pts

also that arbys looked amazing

mcdonalds fries dont really slap the bass for me anymore

same here man
