McD best item: Coffee (AINEC) Best widely available coffee on the road
Worth the price: Sausage McMuffin
Worth a discount price: Breakfast,McDbl/DblCh/TriCh/BigMac

Past glory lived on: Fries. (The fries today are complete **** compared to the tallow fried version. Original McD fries would bring people to tears today)

Saw on twitter this week that Steak N Shake is switching to tallow for their fries, all locations supposed to be changed over by the end of February.

I'll be interested to see how this changes the product, I've never found their fries to take on that much oil since they're shoestrings. And I do wonder how pure the tallow will be, since for example a lot of restaurants that say they're using olive oil are actually using a canola/olive blend.

Now if Rick would just follow suit that would be swell.

I am calling BS on this...

While Mac's Coffee is one of the best, and consistent, their best product is the Iced Tea.

I've ramped up my chipotle intake as restaurant burger prices in my area are getting to Vegas strip levels- $19 burgs are the rule.

Corn salsa imo doesn't beat tomato salsa.

I'm ramped down my chipotle intake. I haven't gotten it when I'm home in probably a year. I'll get it traveling bc it's quick and relatively healthy including on the Vegas strip bc it's cheap for the strip.

But the constant price increases with smaller portions and hit or miss quality has gotten ridiculous.

Oh don't get me wrong, I only like one thing at Chipotle, chicken burrito. I tried the barbacoa and it was a disaster.

I eat there b/c I can get a burrito at 10pm every day, also being a block away also helps.

I'll gladly take a hot coffee black, but as far as paying money, I just top myself off with the 48oz jug of sbux ice coffee for $7 or so at the supermarket.

It looks like they have one dude manning the Togo line. Got it exactly at the reservation time, much slower than late night orders.

I'll never order in a line, wtf are those people thinking?

This is super niche, but Hot 'n Now is making a comeback. According to Wiki they had more than 150 stores at their peak. Kinda like a Checkers/Rallys in my estimation, it was low-priced burgers and fries, drive thru only, distinctive stores. Only 2 locations announced, but I expect they'll try to open a bunch around the Great Lakes region.

I had a physical labor job one summer and about my favorite lunch was three Hot 'n Now double cheeseburgers. I can't remember if they were 79 cents each or 99 cents each.

I ordered a few times in the app for Chipotle pick-up.. they butchered my order EACH TIME, the last time so badly that I posted itt how I strong-armed corporate into giving me not one but TWO free entree coupons (for one burrito bowl that was terribly/incorrectly made).

the chipotle app is a disaster. you're guaranteed to get joke portions and that's assuming your order is actually made right.

i foresaw chipotles downfall years ago when i worked there and was exploited for min wage

Bubbakoo's has been my go to if I want a fast food burrito. They have this one item called a burritodilla which is basically a huge stuffed quesadilla with whatever you want inside.

Breakfast place in the south east called maple street biscuit company that is actually pretty good. I order pick up hash bowl a bit and 2 times in a row I get no bacon. So most recent time I went they did the typical staple my bag shut and give it to me.

I open the bag and pull out the hash bowl, examine, and sure enough, no bacon.

So I called the expo lady over there and asked if this came with bacon. She pretended like she wasn’t sure, then came back with two slices of bacon (and a very weak apology)

Now im insanely curious how this bacon scam they have going works. Like how can you miss the main/best ingredient 3 times in a row?

anybody's Ricks have the 'party pack' like mine does? for like $16 you get 2x McDoubles, 2x McChickens, 20 piece Nuggy, 2x basket of fries. add the 20% off in app coupon and its like $15 w/tax. obv not the greatest selection, but the value is right!

Though I'd probably have to do the doubles plus mayo, save the Chickies for later b/c they'd probably still be good cold, a cold mcdouble sounds gross but I've probably eaten one or two in that state
