We joke that she has a shepherd brain (smart) in a husky skull (stubborn)
she will still chew the hell out of pretty much anything if you give her a chance, but it’s mostly contained to her toys and sticks.

Such a gorgeous dog

I'm happy you found each other.

Winston can sleep with the best of them. Gained some serious weight

Was watching my brother's dog this weekend. Came downstairs Saturday, and Blue was laying on his back, eyes wide open, kind of like in Red's picture above.

Kinda freaked me out, as I talked to him, then gave him a couple pats when I got downstairs. Reminded very much of when the gold dog died, I was a bit shaken when he didn't move.

Must've been in a deep, eyes-open sleep; after a few seconds, he roused, and we did stuff.

We visited my mother's friends years ago and decided to take their old, fat bulldog for a walk. The next morning, I seriously thought the dog was dead. I could not see any breathing, couldn't feel a heart beat, and could not get it up. I prodded and even lightly kicked it. (I studied pre-vet and have had dogs all my life, so I have some clue of what I'm doing.) Amazingly, when they came downstairs, he rallied. The thought of telling them we had killed their dog was unbearable! No more walks for you!
