so many vocalists can be understood when they speak but not while singing, Ozzy is the only one i can think of that was quite the opposite.

I'm not sure if it's been absolutely confirmed, but the word is that he went to Switzerland for the assisted suicide (solution). He had Parkinsons and it was expected to progress quickly.
