I was Damhill's last cash game backer, which he conveniently left out of this post. He played for me for about a year. In that time he was kicked from a room for repeated offensive language, completely "misled" me on his cash game experience, and blew the roll multiple times taking shots at games much higher than we agreed he could play. He eventually just sort of stopped playing when he got to 5k in make up.

Again, conveniently, none of that was mentioned by Damhill in this thread. However, Damhill made multiple posts in this forum, during the time I was technically still staking him, about how much money he was making in cash games, none of which I saw. Which means either everything he said here was a lie or he purposely did not report his winnings to me.

As I found out yesterday reading his posts, apparently he found multiple new backers in that time for cash games, and then proceeded to blow the entire roll playing online blackjack. Just a day later (yesterday) he posted looking for a another new backer, saying he had a "gold mine" cash game.

I was essentially going to let this go and move on as I felt bad that he was pretty much broke and expecting a child. However, yesterday when I saw he had posted looking for a new backer, I asked him about it and he was basically a huge a-*** to me, even though I was pretty professional with him. Then he blocked me. I then read the thread in it's entirety only to learn he was lying to me over the last few months on how much he made/lost and he had other backers as well, one of which he just completely screwed over.

He just blocked me so I'm posting here to warn other backers.

In other's opinions what should happen from playing in games we didn't agree he could play? What should happen from quitting in make up and turning right around and getting a new backer.

Nah this guy stopped backing me in October saw I was with SV didn't say much about it then when I unfortunately had to leave SV and got a backer for cash games he gets salty and suddenly wants to back me again even though I offered him the opportunity to back me several times since October but he never did at the most he offered to buy 25% of my actions on the premis id provide the entire stake and weekly message him if I was up or down on the week.

He stopped backing me and refused to back me any further and instead said just to make sports bets for him to cover losses but he lost a bunch of money doing that so he stopped sending me picks to make for him he also scammed one of the sports books he had me sign up under when he lost and refused to pay the debt owed to the sports book.

He had me playing sketchy club games and told me what limits to play and I played those and we won money then we lost money it happens but instead of pushing through the variance he stopped sending funds to back me therefor ending the agreement .

I blocked him because he was acting like a crazy ex girlfriend who didn't want to stake me but didn't want me to be staked by anyone else.

I never stopped backing you. Just two months ago you said you found a new cash game and asked me to back you in it, in which I replied, yes. I've made it very clear I was still backing you, but you decided to quit while in make up.

I had you playing in some good club games with good action. You were also playing on Ignition and that is where you decided to play stakes way higher than we agreed upon.

There is no Sportsbook I owe money to. I am a regular in the sports thread here and am square with everybody. What you're saying is a complete lie, which isn't a shocker considering how much you've lied to me and on this thread.

I'm 100% squared with that sportsbook you mentioned. I told you not to square up with him because I was squaring up with him directly lol. Which I did the next day. You saying I scammed him is a 100% outright lie, which seems to be your go to move. We are completely square and have always been square.

It really isn't about the money. It's the principal. This winter you said you needed some time off for family/personal issues, which of course was no problem. I'm pretty flexible and easy to work with. I was gracious and understanding when you played at stakes way higher than we agreed upon and had no issues if you needed some time off for personal issues. You however completely misled me and essentially just stopped playing for me while you started a stake with a new cash game backer. Which is even more embarrassing that you used your family as a lie to get out of make up.

Today, I tried to have an amicable and professional private conversation in private with you, instead of posting publicly, which I knew would make you look incredibly bad. I even asked you what you thought the best solution was to try and work something out. Instead you were just a huge jerk to me and then blocked me. So here we are.

Again, I'll ask others what the fairest solution is if somebody plays at stakes higher than was agreed upon and then quits while in make up

You gave me an entire story about how you were under all this family pressure and weren't handling the stress well mentally which was causing mental health issues, which led you to play higher stakes than we agreed.

The key to bing a successful poker player is screwing over your backers. Really helps your bottom line. Maybe you need to get better at that aspect of it Woldemort.

So I ended my deal with the last backer. He did make money but I just don't want to end up in make up so not sure where I end up now but we have to make something work just not sure what it is yet. Will update in the next day or two with the plan.
