$25----->25k Bankroll Challenge on Ignition
I am going to be starting with $25 in my Ignition Account and try to spin it up to $25,000.
I will start at 5nl since it is the lowest stake on the site and be playing Ignition Reg tables only.
I will be updating every 5k hands with my progress.
My expectation for each limit is as follows:
Expected Winrates for each limit:
5NL: 30bb/100
10NL: 25bb/100
25NL: 20bb/100
50NL: 15bb/100
100NL: 12bb/100
200NL: 10bb/100
Variance will be a decent factor in a lot of these winrates but these are just ball park numbers. Once I hit 25k I will take a 10buyin shot at 500nl! As far as moving up I'll move up whenever I feel like it, but probably after winning 30-40 buyins at the limit.
There will be no cherry picking here since you can't cherry pick a Bankroll Challenge. Wish me luck (or not) and follow along in this thread.

I agree that you don't have to know mda to bluffcatch correctly but I dont think its intuitive to understand he's overbluffing here with just theory, and donking turn is not a super studied line by most regs anyways. In a lot of donk lines regs are actually underbluffing.
Vs weaker regs seems fine since they probably raise turn mostly w value and overfold to the overcard K (but C-X-B seems way more reliable since they never slowplay overpairs on turn anyways), vs players that study mda probably not so good i would bluffcatch u pretty light vs overbet in this line 😀
I agree with you. Against better regs I will have to switch this line to value as a default.
Thankfully he was a weak reg and folded JJ or something along those lines.
I was looking up MDA for this line and it’s overbluffed by regs in the wider formations. There is a weird overlap here between fish data and reg data.
Both profiles have xc-donk-bet as a weaker line than xc-xc-donk.
How much should weak be for turn cbet 43 seems within reason to me, also folds dont seem super high.
I need to do some more studying on this spot but the aggregate is 40 weak so its weaker than the average.
You're right that the folds aren't high if it was BlindsvsBTN. This data is BlindsvsCO.
GTO is a pure check OTT here since we block 88/99. I didn't do this in game but good to know.

Lots of deviations going on here. Solver always bets turn but it's very likely my opponent has either 2 outs or is drawing dead. Also you basically never bet small OTR when you can just X back and go to showdown but inducing is good.

Doing some 3bp studying and I think this hand is a good example of when you either:
1) Need 2 turn sizing's
2) If you choose one it should be non geometric
So there are runouts where a good amount of your range is not supposed to be all in by the river.
Here is a good example, I'm stealing this HH from Mr.Spytastic's thread I hope he doesn't mind.
So the turn here is basically a range bet but a lot of our hands want to go small because we are targeting the underpairs. The only hands that really want to go bigger are AK/AQ and then bluffs so we need 2 sizing's or just use a smaller sizing. From studying MDA population is playing worse vs smaller sizing's once you get past the flop so I'd choose a smaller sizing if you want to simplify the strategy.

do you think there's alot of ev to be gained for having the huge all in raise sizing vs regs (hand #1), I only do this vs fish exploitatively since balancing the huge all in is hard and getting countered hurts alot, wonder if its worth studying these spots more if there is alot of edge to be had
This hand is really interesting (quads obv) because the turn is almost range checked and I think population messes up turn sizing a lot in the BC-B node.
GTO donks really small OTR I don't think that is great though. My main take away is how often turn is supposed to be checked and I don't have MDA for this but I think this river sizing is going to be overbluffed. I'd call down any Tx here if I decided to xr flop. The K and T of diamonds will block a lot of flushes but also give stubborn AQ/AJ equity OTT.
Since we know the population is over cbetting this board they will call too much of their cbetting range OTF and as a result river gets overbluffed in this sizing scheme and run out. I also would like to figure out how much the pair OTF matters, I'm assuming T22tt is BC more than T88tt. That is an important distinction as well.

In the first hand I'd say SB is a fish there but it's a good question. This isn't a raise spot but it's a similar concept where we are all in by the river and it's a huge OB.
Yeah I think all in sizing is good vs regs.
Take this example:

Turn brings Jx which brings 2 FDs.
Your probe sizing as OOP is supposed to huge if you bet and then you get jamming ranges OTR.
Let's say we probe P175. River is offsuit 2.
You get 3.5x pot jamming range here to make some Ax indifferent. So let’s say you have 98o here. Just open jam it.
In reality all regs are folding one pair here vs a jam or at least most regs (and if they call you get an insane dynamic for the future).
Look at the data for all the sizing's and you can see they are all overfolded if we use small turn probe sizing but if we use OB/OB then it starts getting close to MDF. But most regs aren't rnging Ax here, they will either 100% fold or 100% call. And it's probably a fold.
Balls of steel but he can't bluff river. You need to block some boats for that. Solver always jams turns which is interesting.

I had to cash out a few times but I'm good now to build the roll up. I'm really liking the blitz format so I'll probably stay at 25nl for a bit (100k hands at least). Then I'll re-assess.

In the first hand I'd say SB is a fish there but it's a good question. This isn't a raise spot but it's a similar concept where we are all in by the river and it's a huge OB.
Yeah I think all in sizing is good vs regs.

Oh yeah I remember you said you played around the new england area I used to play around there when I still in university, highly recommend checking out twin rivers in providence RI if ur not too far away, the whales in my home game that were losing on 5nl iggy were unironically winners in the 5/10 game there.
Interesting spot because 0% of your range is supposed to be all in by the river in theory. The problem is IP is expected to raise more than population does. All your strong hands lose value if we do what theory says.
