The "LOLCANADA" thread...again

So what's new?

I've noticed the Liberals are now ahead in all major polls and Trudeau hasn't even started to campaign yet...i'd be shocked if they lost the election now.

Just shows just how incompetent Conservatives are.

what part is surprising to you? I presumed it was obvious a bunch of people are going to wait in the wings this cycle.

Hey lozen that doesn’t sound very good .
But I wonder if again you believe in things that aren’t as they you originally thought ….
Green cheap energy we should focus on ?

Might not be that easy ….

I just assumed whomever was the new leader and lost would still retain the title.

This.

I'd think it would be an interesting calculation as it's possible someone could come in now, lose the election and get a pass because they were in a hopeless situation, then lead them to victory. But probably more likely is whoever leads them now either is done in short order, or can't bring them back into power next election either. If it were me and I had a couple decades of politics ahead, I'd sit it out; if I only wanted to be in the game another 5-10 years I might jump in now.

I’m saying many times you said that cheap clean energy should be only focus on nuclear energy and those small reactor were in fashion due to low cost right ?
Well seem it isn’t that cheap after all compare to others alternative .
And don’t do a whataboutism ….environmental regulations has nothing to do in X2-X3-X5 increase cost in working small nuclear reactors .

Ive never said they were a cheap solution I said they were the cleanest solution for the amount of power they deliver and the size . How many wind turbines or solar panels would equal one mini nuclear reactor

As well good luck getting one approved

Thinking about this more, I'd say the one with the most intriguing decision to make is Chrystia Freeland. I could make a case for this being the best time for her to run because she's fresh off this very public break with Trudeau and his policies, which was a big part of what forced JT to step aside. But I could also make a case that it's better for her to wait, because so many people will still see her as tied to JT in spite of that, so she needs to give it some time.

Probably, yes. That still doesn't mean it's the ideal time to step forward. One election cycle might be pretty quick for the party to recover, so if you're leader now that could mean losing two elections - fair or not, it's tough to get a shot at leading the party for a third election.

Chrystia Freeland knew EXACTLY what she was planning to do on the leadership the minute she wrote the letter. While the public is still guessing at whether she plans to run this cycle or next, but she 100% knows. I think the main thing she wanted to block was the scenario where Carney rises in prominent in cabinet at the last minute, Trudeau stays on and loses, and he easily sails to leader in the "right" cycle which is the one after this election while she - tied so closely to Trudeau - has no shot. She blew up that possibility expertly.

Far less then originally though when Prices go 3X +in nuclear Power…
Again your attempt about environnement regulations has nothing to do with this….

And the other option of full grand scale nuclear plant are even more expensive.

The only reason those small nuclear portable energy made the News was its price advantage…..
Well seem people got screwed on believing pipe dreams
