Donald J. Trump (For everyone else except Victor)

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

I'm ready to leave the US not because of Elon but because I want to be able to afford eggs again.

In one of the local markets the price of all eggs went up dramatically, but for whatever reason a couple of the "luxury" brown egg brands have lowered prices some, while the store brand hasn't yet.

I am sure it is temporary, and the store brand will lower its prices; but right now it is actually more expensive to buy the store brand Stater Bros white eggs (12 eggs for around $10), than the Vital Farms pasture raised eggs in the same store.

You better start looking because I don't think we've felt all of the pain caused by shutting down parts of the economy for so long after covid started, handing out money to anyone and everyone after covid, printing money at 18% for two years (6% is normal) and gov't spending (from covid thru the end of 2024) at a level that we haven't seen outside of a world war or great depression.

Where do you think the moron got these names and details? Try and use Occam's Razor here (ie the simplest explanation is probably the real explanation)

The article that started this convo suggested whoever made the site scrubbed gov't and healthcare sites.

It is actually amusing because so called leftists have been complaining about the "deep state" forever, without ever really thinking of what the deep state actually was. And now that Trump and Musk are pulling back the curtain, they suddenly aren't so interested in finding out where all the money is going.

Obviously Trump and Musk are choosing their spots, and only pulling back the curtain where they feel it is politically advantageous to do so. But that doesn't mean they aren't actually going after select portions of the so called "Deep State," which in a vacuum so called leftists would probably say is a good thing.

I really thought you were smarter than this. They aren't "pulling back the curtain" They are trying to take control. Of everything.

The 2 are not mutually exclusive. They are essentially destroying the deep state, to take control. Which, again in a vacuum, most leftists would say power should be transparently concentrated in the hands of elected officials; and not dispersed opaquely to nonelected power brokers.

Again, I am not the one saying full democracy is a great thing. I think it is probably better to have a functional, experienced "deep state" bureaucracy with the ability to blunt the power of elected officials and the masses. I just get amused that the same people screaming for democracy a few years ago without really thinking about what that means, aren't so happy about it now that they are getting it.

they are standing and cheering

And some, I assume, are acquiring their targets

This isn't really accurate. Sure, in the pre-Trump era you can find the occasional complaint from a left wing academic or Democratic politician about institutional impediments to change in the FBI, CIA, Defense Department, etc., but labeling any opposition to the president's whims as "the deep state" is a Steve Bannon thing. And the only purpose was to try and delegitimize critics of Trump.

1. The right has been complaining about the Deep State just as frequently as the left. Probably more so. They think, for instance, Nancy Pelosi is a prominent member (and maybe she is, I don't know, she IS a real creep). That's what they were on about with "drain the swamp".

2. We know what the Deep State "actually is". It's the government agencies like the NSA, FBI, etc., in cooperation with leaders of powerful corporate interests (Big Tech), and presumably with powerful members of the legislative and judicial branches mixed up in there. In other words, it's a combination of the elites of the country teaming up to go outside the traditional mechanisms of government to exert undue influence.

3. I like how you're pretending that Musk and Trump are these savvy, Machiavellian, 4d chess-playing wizards instead of the addled, reactive, petty speed addicts they both are.

4. Trump is at least Deep State-adjacent, and Musk is deeply mired in that world. You think a guy so closely tied to Peter Thiel for decades isn't in the Deep State? LOL. Elon probably hosts their group meet-ups.

Sure, Donald Trump may have had a personal, decades-long relationship with Pimp-To-The-Billionaires Jeffrey Epstein, but there's no way he's mixed up in this Deep State stuff!

Its legitimately ******ed.

The life long billionaire whos been at all the events, rubbed shoulders with all the players, and was deeply involved with the guy who most represents the deep state and somehow hes the anti-deepstate guy.

I'm not even going to get into Musk because its so blatantly obvious hes got his tendrils spread across the globe that if you think hes not deep state then your opinion on literally everything is completely useless because you have a deficiency in your brain

Really? He's been to "all the events"? Any evidence of this or are you just talking out of your *** again?

Trump had his picture taken with almost everyone, that doesn't automatically mean he's "deeply involved" lmfao. Stop spreading false lies and conspiracy theories.

Thats exactly what it means you moron. You are probably one of the people who believed Bill Gates was putting nefarious micro chips in peoples arms because he hung out with Epstein a few times yet you are pulling the wool over your own eyes for the guy who was closely associated with him for decades.

"Believed" is past tense. It's insane, I know, but these types STILL believe that the COVID vax was created and spread (with Bill Gates in a big role, as you allude) to depopulate the Earth. Every time somebody non-old dies, thousands of #DiedSuddenly posts pop up. TO THIS DAY. The fact that the vax is now 4 years old, and the world's population is still increasing, doesn't dissuade them at all, for mysterious reasons on which I hope PlayBig elucidates us.

DO YOU?

Sigh. Let me get the #()@#$ Novocaine.

The vax macro is particularly ******ed because operation warp speed was Trumps baby. His single biggest political win of his first term. He literally spearheaded the funding, development, and deployment. Trump should be synonymous with the vaccine yet his pawns are so malleable that they have fully dissociated themselves with reality.

But Faucci made me wear a mask!

yep

Their coming after black people. It should be blatantly obvious by now.

lol wtf. Black people were hired disproportionately on purpose for make-believe useless (at best) or actively nefarious (usually) roles in DEI. They want to dismantle all DEI initiatives, and that's 100% the proper thing to do.

OF COURSE that would mean sending away a lot of black people who were hired for those fake, fraudulent roles. Because democrats chose to hire black people en masse for those roles!!!

I was getting 18 eggs from Albertsons for $6 and it's doubled in the last couple of months.

I switched from Stater Bros to Albertsons once I got my dog because I can do pickup with them and even though Albertsons is more expensive for lots of things, it seems like they're cheaper for their in-house Signature Select brand-- and eggs were one of those items.

Ask evidence of it, immediately proceed to say he did have his pic taken with almost everyone.

No, people are assuming Trump was associated with Epstein because there are photos of them together. It doesn't prove Trump was involved in sex trafficking just because he had his picture taken with him.

Well nows your chance to lead a horse to learn how to fish, or whatever the saying goes

Black people were hired disproportionately

I'm sure you can provide evidence for this claim.

Did you complain when white people were verifiably hired disproportionally?

by Playbig2000 k

Stop spreading false lies and conspiracy theories.

Yes, only spread true lies and conspiracy theories, not false ones.

Jesus ****ing Christ Trumptards are so stupid.

A couple of months ago in these DJT threads I asserted that the billionaire class doesn't actually want democracy. People on the left and right on here lost their minds a bit, saying that's blatantly not true, and investors want stable markets (true). I tried to explain why that currently was though.

I'm just curious if anyone still thinks the billionaire class is going for stability right now? Or if they recognize they are trying to undermine democracy. More interested in people's opinion on the left, since I know people on the right can't really see what's happening.

What's going to happen next...

Billionaires want their tax cuts. The Trump tax cuts are set to expire this year, and part of the renewal contingency is supposed to be offsetting the tax cuts (we'll see if that holds), with spending cuts in order to get congressional and Senate approval.

The problem is they need to find $4.5 trillion in spending cuts.

That's the primary reason why Musk was raiding the treasury books this past weekend.

They are going to make massive cuts to Medicaid, because it's the largest block of money they can take, besides Pentagon spending (<--- which actually has waste that can be cut).

They won't cut the Pentagon budget, because the tech bros behind DJT have massive defensive contracts, especially Elon.

So, they are going to raise middle class and taxes on the poor... but of course this will only pay for a fraction of the tax cuts.

It will be interesting to see how they spin all this though when they take it to right-wing media. This isn't what their base voted for.

Stay tuned as they say.
