Donald J. Trump (For everyone else except Victor)

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

As much as I dislike Trump, there is a much more benign interpretation. You could plausibly read this EO to state that the President and the AG (and not someone working at the EPA or whatever) are the final word on the executive branch's view of the law. That's more or less always been the case.

As an aside, there is nothing unusual about the executive branch believing that a court got it wrong. That happens all the time. The executive branch holding that view and expressing that view isn'

this, but I might add it's about theoretically independent agencies (which according to the trump admin shouldn't exist and whose existence according to them is unconstitutional).

so not much about EPA, rather the SEC or FCC shouldn't interpret the law differently than what the DOJ orders them to (with POTUS being allowed to order any interpretation to the DOJ).

it's all going hopefully to SCOTUS, it's unitary executive in the part where nothing other than the executive/congress/judiciary can have any power, and everything in the executive branch is unitary under POTUS, so independent agencies are an unconstitutional abomination.

then there is non-delegation but this admin is pushing little for that (and this SCOTUS doesn't seem ready to rule facourably on that anyway)

Well, people in this thread seem to be taking it pretty seriously. It's like OMG he really is going to install himself as King. We're doomed.

I mean come on guys get a grip.

Elon Musk, while sitting next to the president, described a monarchy, then described a democracy and said it wasn't a democracy, then claimed a monarchy was a true democracy.

It was a really stupid thing to say to people who aren't in a cult but certain people hear **** like that and start nodding their head impulsively like they just learned that 2+2=3

The fake Time cover isn't even really making the rounds

- A 76yo racist, kiddie-loving, musician.
- A vilified Englishman, who took a complete U-turn into a conspiracy nut, and was embraced by the right, when it came out he was a creep who allegedly sexually assaulted multiple women.
- Over-the-hill boxer who's brain is mush from years of getting hit and a new found love of drugs. (I do like the 'new' Mike)

No argument on the first two, but I think Tyson is still pretty lucid. He doesn't seem punchy, IMO. For most of his career, Tyson didn't get hit much and take a massive amount of punishment like Muhammad Ali did. As far as a "new found" love of drugs, Tyson has always loved drugs.

Yeah, Tyson has always been a highly intelligent guy. And he' still pretty sharp. Which is not something you can say for a lot of ex boxers.

potentially nsfw if you work somewhere woke

Tyson is a convicted rapist.

trolling to pwn da libs!!!

...not giving a **** that there are granny's out there wondering what the **** is going on with their country...

I'd attribute these Trumperies to test ballooning, but he's a moron so wouldn't understand the concept. It's more like he talks garbage, and when picked up on it, he immediately doubles down and makes it his goal because terrified of looking like the fool he is.

eg Gaza being a holiday resort, Canada as 51st state, calling Zelensky a dictator etc

Interesting that on the world stage, the only friends the USA are going to have left real soon is Putin, Netanyahoo and a few other dictator-types around the world.

We know he's trolling (joking implies it's funny), same as Elon's salute, or the sick immigrant asmr video, or the whole host of witty memes they come with...

The issue is firstly a lot of morons don't realise this, but it's also done to gradually normalise and minimise it to everyone else, so that they become desensitised to it, either so they can get away easier with slightly less extreme stuff, or it's lessens the shock when it turns out they actually weren't joking.

It's the same tactic Neo-Nazi groups use, and even wrote a guidebook about, to infiltrate and radicalise people online, 4chan being a good example - https://www.ceros.com/inspire/originals/... - 4chan's always been a cesspit for edge lords like Elon, but weirdly all kicks up a notch a the start of Trump's campaign.

“The unindoctrinated should not be able to tell if we are joking or not,” the author writes, in a section called “Lulz.” “This is obviously a ploy and I actually do want to gas *****. But that’s neither here nor there.” For legal reasons, the guide continues, writers shouldn’t openly incite violence; “however, whenever someone does something violent, it should be made light of.” The ultimate goal is to “dehumanize the enemy, to the point where people are ready to laugh at their deaths.”

Interesting that on the world stage, the only friends the USA are going to have left real soon is Putin, Netanyahoo and a few other dictator-types around the world.

Friends denotes a level of trust that won't really be present. These will be temporary alliances determined mostly by the personal ambition and greed of individual leaders. Having opened the barn doors for payoffs to the US president and his administration, it will also be about corruption.

But other than that, the US is big, rich, powerful and secure enough that it will likely get away just fine with being more isolated. And while corruption and incompetence at the top is hardly an asset, countries are large and notoriously difficult beasts to topple.

This won't be better for the American citizen of course. Their political rights will start to matter less, that is simply the fallout from corroding public institutions. As for finances, I'd say it is very doubtful that things will be looking up for the average American. This isn't the 1800s, and it is likely impossible to replace current global trade with mercantilism without downgrades.

But most Americans don't really see international politics the way we do. In Europe we're steeped in international politics, because our recent history is one where your neighbors matter. In our neck of the woods, foreign policy can influence elections to a large degree. In the US it rarely seems to matter.

Wingnut manbaby Donald Trump has blamed Ukraine for being invaded by Russia... much to Mad Vlad Putin's delight

Why are you posting the cover of a liberal magazine from 8 years ago? Or are they trying the "russia owns trump" thing again?

I mention Russian State Media a lot and nobody really responds.

Have any right wingers on here actually peeked at Russian State Medias consistent messaging the last 10 years?

I promise that every single talking point you guys trot out is 1:1 lifted straight from Russian Media.

You really don't have to take my word for it. I implore you to take a peek. 15 minutes. Are yall scared you might find that you guys are all Russian puppets just spouting off Russian talking points like Putins hand itself is so far up your ass that its massaging your brains?

I'd be scared to learn that I've been so thoroughly brainwashed by our biggest enemy tbh, but it would ultimately be liberating

While probably true for Mong, PB, and Luciom I think many of the right wingers here aren't Putin loyalists and are kind of brushing the whole Russian kompromat thing as radical woke conspiracy which is why I am (once again) begging these people to spend 15 minutes confirming for themselves because its as plain as day.

I agree that you do not support Putin, but your reasons are different than most people here.
