Donald J. Trump (For everyone else except Victor)
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at
what exactly did EPA do that the state of California can't do?
why the hell do you need to trash the constitution by using the federal government to do state things?
Because it works for the whole country, but I'm definitely ready to let California handle its own laws on social policies and the environment and stop letting the stupid states have any say in what happens here.
Interestingly, they are looking to kick him out for breaking their code of conduct.
And he's not a scientist any ways, but his companies have made contributions to the scientific community.
The Royal Society never claimed you have to be a a scientist to join or get a title. David Attenborough is a fellow and in line with Elon getting one more as an outside celebrity contributor or popularizer.

You've said a lot of dumb things in these threads, but this is up there.
Do you think pollution just stays in a specific area where it's created? There's maybe like some invisible wall that prevents your neighboring state from polluting you?
Think mcyfly... think.

Of course not... that's not why they're looking to kick him out. It's again, because societies like this have strict public codes of conduct.
Trump coin is ******ed as is every meme coin. Coffeezilla is also ******ed. The reason for these memecoins wasn't Trump's "deregulation". It was due to the utter disastrous Gary Gensler led SEC. Zero rulemaking or beneficial discourse with the crypto community. Rather than stopping fraud and bad actors (Luna, FTX, BlockFi.....) they wasted their time and effort on good actors (Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini, Robinhood, Uniswap...)
Memecoins came to be because the SEC determined you couldn't build anyth
Crypto/AI is an environmentally-damaging, pseudo-Ponzi scheme to funnel even more wealth to the superrich. Hey, what percentage of crypto holders do you think hold more than 10k USD in crypto? 1%? .5%?
Save the rest of your bullshit about regulations and the SEC and "bad actors" and whatever.
Your boy, crypto-fan Javier Milei, did a crypto rug pull on his own people... meanwhile, Claudia Sheinbaum has an 80% approval rating. I'm sure you still think the former is MORE BASED, or whatever weird language you creeps use to describe something good.
I could live a full and happy life without hearing the term "memecoin" ever again.
It should be surprising, but really isn't that the same people who have always cried about currency backed only by the faith in the US Government ("fiat currency") are into currency only backed by faith in Pepe the Frog.

Good guy Gensler was trying to establish regulatory precedence by documenting the good actors processes.
Now crypto is tanking (objectively) due to Trumps geopolitics causing massive amounts of uncertainty and unrest
Sometimes you are just wrong. Its always good to have introspection in moments like these

Its actually kind of pathetic how desperately the US needs California and how massive California would be as its own country and how much that would hurt the US if they left compared to how much hate California gets from imbeciles
There are roughly as many Republicans as Democrats on the Epstein logs (I mean, I assume so, I've seen multiple prominent names from both parties). If people thought House Judiciary GOP's account was actually about to spill Epstein-style secrets, they deserve to be hit with the lamest meme of 2006.
To be both Fair and Balanced, I should note that Noam Chomsky also had multiple meetings with Epstein, long after Epstein's legal troubles began. Not sure if he went to the island, but still, lol. Being a pedophile and/or sex criminal is an apolitical thing. Creeps are everywhere in equal measures.

sure so mexico has the EPA as well? jfc how dumb do you need to be , to be a leftist

so you are "in line" with how it should always have been under the actual constitution.
nice to know.
and we can all hope this admin untangles many decades of violent eversive unconstitutional federal encroaching on state rights.

I said California because the other communist guy bragged EPA fixed the air in LA.
and my question was why couldn't the state of California alone do it? and we all know it just could.
so the EPA only works to violently force leftist preferences on non-leftist states, which is kinda what the left loves: to violently abuse "democracy" and impose their will on everyone
Emory Tate was a fairly dark-skinned black American who worked for the CIA in some fashion as some kind of spy... in Russia. He was literally the old joke from an episode of Archer, where Lana goes, "you want me to work, uncover, in Russia ... as what, Russia's only black woman?" Absolutely fascinating guy.
In what decade were you/will you be eligible for Medicare?
This post has created some serious cracks in the mental image I had of you.
Is this a shared account between multiple people?

I wasn't really talking about you specifically though I can see how it would come across that way.
Also not sure the EPA has ever violently done anything. I'll look into if they have their own branch of the military or something, thought I have my doubts
I honestly think Luciom just doesn't know what the word violent means.

I'm in my 30s. I knew Emory Tate because we both played tournament chess. He was a brilliant player, International Master, the 2nd highest title. He beat me every time, although to be fair, he was older than I by many years.
I'm the only person on this account 😆
Not sure how that post painted such different picture of me to you than anything else I've said, and it's kinda interesting.
No, 30-something is precisely what I had figured before, but then you're sitting here talking about meeting a now 38 year old man when he was little and having some unspecified relationship with his father who died a decade ago.
That, plus the Archer reference and posting history/style seemed largely incompatible with being the same person.
AI account? Igor, is that you?

Lol wut
Or that pollution doesn't understand borders.
Luci lives in a country that spends a high % of it's GDP on government, and doesn't provide great outcomes respective to the rest of the industrialized world. It is rife with real fraud and waste and could use some serious reform.
But he applies that understanding of the world to American politics, which he really doesn't know much of anything about. He talks in hyperbole, as anyone who wants some form of government and rules, is a communist. America on the other hand spends an extremely low % of it's GDP on government (almost half by percentage of what Italy does), and gets mediocre results.
The most interesting thing is most (not all, Italy is one of 2 exceptions), countries that spend the highest % of their GDP on government, have the highest life expectancy, happiness rating index, economic mobility, quality of life, health outcomes, etc... basically, everything you'd ideally want in a good society. And naturally people trust their government as a result of these good outcomes.
I'm not sure why more people don't understand this.
If you want business friendly governments, that prioritize profits at the expense of the working class, and healthy environments, then deregulate, privatize, and cut taxes.
If you want governments that work for most people with good quality of life standards, then prioritize progressive tax systems, worker protections, healthcare investment, business regulation, and public investments in education, infrastructure, and clean energy.
And believe it or not, if you do it really well like Scandinavian countries... you can have both. Good environments for businesses, and the working class.
And MAGA... instead of at least TRYING some real world models we have that worked well for business and the working class, would rather burn it all down. Makes total sense.
At least try it out first... because... here it comes.... if it doesn't work, you can change it again. Gasp.
