Donald J. Trump (For everyone else)

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

The white house press secretary said the bruise was from shaking so many people's hands. Even if true, that seems like it would still be a sign of something abnormal. Or do a lot of old people have easily bruised hands?
I have no idea.

Most men at 78 don't even have hands because most men that age have composted into grass or a tulip by then.

Ro I have no idea what your definition of ideology is but it's clear trumpism is the idea that 'America is for Americans and Americans only' and that edict and definition is defined by MAGA supporters. To the best of my knowledge non-Americans are defined as:

1. Vaguely defined 'woke'
2. Immigrants
3. Minorities
4. Libtards (probably redundant to 1.)

It seems to come down to assimilate or be destroyed, or in the cases of the 'non-Americans' who bent the knee, assimilate and maybe be destroyed anyway

A true America first ideology would never allow H1B visas. And we would have our state provided health care. And it definitely would not see America led around by Israel into complicity with crimes against humanity which forever stain the U.S.

White European immigrants are not be targeted from what I hear, so it's not immigrants so much as any vulnerable Latinos or Africans. It's mostly racism.

The white house press secretary is one of the last people on Earth I'd trust even in a different administration.

Old people's hands do bruise easily and that looks exactly like the bruising an old person gets from an IV.

It's crazy. Probably lying about something that is no big deal - he's old and the president, having regular medical checks/blood tests shouldn't surprise anyone.

And, if it were true, i.e. it's from shaking hands, that's much more of a cause for concern that he is actually unwell.

The Queen's final appearance:

'It can sometimes result in heart failure. If your peripheral circulation is that poor, organs aren't receiving a good blood supply. It can be a sign of multi organ failure.'

jd vance >>>>>>> trump

intelligent, thoughtful, not a buffoon

so that's a net positive for everyone - can't imagine anyone who isn't a diehard trumper wouldn't prefer vance anyway

Wow at what Olbermann said. And he is right. MSNBC loves firing talented women of color, and to do it during Black History Month is even more shameful.

Apple says a bug caused its iPhone voice...

Apple said it is working on repairing a glitch after some iPhone users noticed that speaking the word “racist” into the voice-to-text feature causes it to write “Trump” before quickly switching to “racist.”

Confusion and outrage from conservative commentators, including Infowars host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, grew online after a TikTok user called out the feature in a video posted last week. Others on social media have since filmed themselves testing out the glitch.

Could be an inside job of course, but I was wondering: Could this be because they use AI? The underlying word vectorization techniques would put the two words close as often they are mentioned together.

I have always thought the fear about AI was completely ridiculous, but now I'm not sure. That's the most intelligent thing I've ever seen coming from AI.

If you don't count acts of left wing domestic terrorism as such, ofc you "demonstrate" what you want. Not counting BLM as domestic leftwing terrorism for example.

How many bombs have BLM planted? How many people have they murdered? Oh wait it's none. Islamist and far right terrorism is a far bigger threat than BLM or currently antifa. BLM are a social movement. They certainly aren't domestic terrorists.

Is it crazy to think that we could sell citizenship at $5 million a pop to 7 million people and clear the debt? And an added benefit of this would be adding such a high number of high value people would have second order benefits to the American economy.

Hard to imagine there isn't 7 million persons in the world that wouldn't be willing to do this. And even if the number is significantly smaller than 7 million, you could still put a serious dent in the debt.

You live in an imaginary world where everyone wants to live in America. You need to get out more.

I'd hold my breath and wait for a better source than ndtv, for someone extremely active on social media the lack of an actual post from him sharing the video it says he shared is pretty significant

Maybe someone hacked his account? Surely trump isn’t that tonedead, right?

trump posted that AI generated video

by bahbahmickey k

I assume your whole post is trolling.

If you think the things I mentioned aren’t pro economic growth I’d hate to see what policies you think are pro growth.

Of course they are anti growth. Restricting the workforce and subsidizing outdated failing industries while engaging in slapdash iuntargeted protectionist trade policies is anti growth. Like look at China vs the US in electrical cars. Trump was too busy propping up old technologies and just handing out tax breaks for not doing anything while China's pro growth and forward thinking policies had them go from unable to make any decent car to number 1 exporter of electric vehicles with big price for quality edge on everyone else.

Growth wasn’t slow under trump unless you are including Covid which is silly - especially considering how he fought dems for pro growth policies during that time and I don’t think there is anyone who has ran for president the last 20 years who would have done better for economic growth post Covid than trump. Also, as I’ve said quite a few times economic policies aren’t a light switch as it takes years to feel the full effects of policies.

I'm dropping 2020 all together. Trump had the slowest non recessionary growth numbers in history largely because his policies are bad for growth. I'm on the board of a start up and I can see why; rather than trying to innovate or create jobs and take a risk we're just planning to rent seek, dissolve and take a huge payday off selling to the government at inflated prices due to insane protectionist policies. We're definitely not the only ones thinking this way.

It appears to be legit.

Lol I coulds picture an equally clueless innumerate Trumper selling the idea like that to Trump and since nobody in the room knows what EB5 visas are or have basic knowledge of the world or finance.

To be fair, that version of Gaza does look much better than the current one.

No, just because he took power with the economy already close to full employment and when unemployment is already close to the minimum physically possible there isn't anything you can do.

The Obama-Trump economy was one smooth (albeit slow) recovery up to full employment. If an alien had looked at all the numbers the change in administrations wouldn't even be credible, it's like either political power has nothing to do with the economy at all, or obama and trump (and congress during both presidents) acted identically.

I guess I'll be honeymooning to Gaza.

You can make excuses for why growth was slow under Trump but they are not super convincing when the case being made vy Trumpers is that trump policies are super pro growth but no data exists to show it.

I guess I'll be honeymooning to Gaza.

Been looking through some old stuff. Gaza, not long after the 08-09 Gaza War.

No honeymoon...but less hellish than Trump's imagined version!

Remember when Kamala was hiding from the press. good times.

“In a free country, leaders must not be able to choose their own press corps,” Daniels said. “For generations, the working journalists elected to lead the White House Correspondents’ Association board have consistently expanded the WHCA’s membership and its pool rotations to facilitate the inclusion of new and emerging outlets.”

“Having served as a Moscow correspondent in the early days of Putin’s reign, this reminds me of how the Kremlin took over its own press pool and made sure that only compliant journalists were given access,”

Deregulation is blatantly pro growth and significantly so. Tariffs aren't.

Deporting illegals is pro per capita gdp growth obviously (you are deporting people with under avg income), while being bad for nominal gdp growth.

Doesn't matter though to answeer your fake claim that trump first term was bad for growth. It wasn't, it was indistinguishable from what came before him as per graphs provided
