If Canadian universities can't pay their bills charging domestic students the tuition they're currently charging, it's time to let them fail.

If Canadian universities can't provide quality education charging 7.5k tuition per year on average from domestic students, perhaps they go and get that education somewhere else.

They're welcome. They just can't work off campus. If you insist on them working off campus, then we should continue to reduce the numbers like we are.

Is this true for coop degrees? Like all the engineers I teach are expected to do work terms in addition to their academic terms. It makes them a much more well rounded person with relevant work experience to augment formal training. Are they also banned in your dystopian fantasy?

The first question I ask people is where are you from. Also you can tell by their accent and general passivity. They seem to apologize a lot. I personally don’t treat them any different but I know I’m about to get stiffed. I’m certainly not gonna bend over backwards for them.

This sounds like a you problem. Canadians are not generally known as the type to stiff people on things like tips when travelling internationally. If anything it's the opposite with Canadians trying to overtip in Europe and Europeans being confused why they are doing this. But I suspect if you go into an interaction "knowing i'm about to get stiffed" that's the kind of thing people tend to pick up on, especially if your "first question" is all about where someone is from. So perhaps a self fullfilling prophecy here.

when I was younger I went to quite a few in person political meetings for various parties. And you've all seen clips online. Let's put it this way: there is ALWAYS a few total weirdos. Doesn't matter the party. Right wing, left wing, right smack in the damn center there will be someone who will go up to the microphone and say just the absolute stupidest **** ever. So ya, I've seen the gleeful sharing of clips of the top 3 most egregious NDP mic commenters, and they are indeed pretty cringe, but I promise you that is not a one side of the aisle kind of thing.

I did. I'm pretty meh about that particular choice. Take it or leave it. It's certainly the case that in some political parties you go to open mics at their convention and you get a whole lot of people of one particularly demographic group all super eager to make sure everyone hears their genius opinions and trying to center everything on their perspectives. So I can't be too crying upset and mad at the woke lib tards we are taught to hate so much choosing to trying to have more diversity of voices on the open mics. Probably not the way I go about it, but meh.
