Can you explain to me what it's like to live inside a body which is full of contempt for the suffering of your fellow human beings ?

When I observe someone suffering .... it hurts me to know that they're suffering. Some people have the constitution of nurses .... they have that kind and caregiving orientation and an empathic response.

You get a kick out of other people's suffering. That suggests that you have a strong sadistic side of you.

You're also manufacturing comments which you are attributing to Greta that she has never made. She frequently discusses the carbon budget and the short amount of time we have to reduce emissions to avoid passing tipping points. She never claims the world will end in a few years.

But the fact that you make **** up is less noteworthy than your sadism. Do you think that's a genetic predisposition or is it something you learned from your childhood environment?

Let's be humble and recognize that none of us have a comprehensive grasp of reality. We don't understand what we don't sense.

You don't understand why Greta is so angry because you don't personally experience the pain of a darkening future. So you can't have empathy for her pain.

You imagine that other people are like you inside ..... that's why you can't imagine people cooperating and agreeing to degrowth policy. Your lack of vision is saddening. But survival trumps all other consideration and nature is going to steer people toward cooperation on degrowth.
