his sportsbetting models lost money for like 2 years straight with zero adjustments
dude was anointed the analytics king and got extreme hubris as a result and that's when he began sucking at modeling
you can't ever expect to accurately forecast anything with advanced models unless you regularly are able to question if you've done it poorly and can make adjustments
Has anyone dealt w/ someone that has Narcissistic personality disorder before?
I dated someone briefly in my 20's that in retrospect was textbook NPD. I didn't know it at the time, but it was like living through hell. The worst human I've come across, and embarrassingly I knew she was no good, even after our first date. I actually had zero plans to ever call her, even though she was hot af... but then she pursued me, and I gave in for the wrong reasons (no... not that lol). The unfortunate kicker is we still have mutual friends together. All these years later, I still occasionally see her, and she hasn't changed a bit.
Just curious if others want to share any stories, because these people are just lost souls imho. They are literally parasites. And I know they are suffering horribly. They are incredibly insecure, and have no center or moral compass.
I'm really baffled why anyone would want to elect someone as their leader who is textbook NPD. That alone is a disqualifer for me. I guess my wonderment is, have people who support Trump not come across someone w/ NPD... do they enjoy the chaos, or are they possibly NPD or high on the narcissistic scale themselves? Maybe they don't understand what NPD is, or how these people really function? I want to give some benefit of the doubt here.

I learned a lot about myself, even though it was a fairly brief relationship. I embarrassingly got into it to make another girl jealous. Not my proudest moment, but I was young and dating several people. She love bombed the **** out of me, and I fell for it... it's a great love grift, and it worked... for awhile.

NPD is the least studied area of psychology, so I'm told. And mainly because it's the only type of person, psychologist themselves, don't want to deal with. People w/ NPD rarely seek help, because they don't believe anything is wrong with them, because they're the best of course. They mainly show up in MLF counseling, and tend to be abusive to the psychologist.
