Is there evidence that they were attacked for being Jewish rather than being supporters of Israel? Not that the violence is excusable in either case.
Just spoke to a friend, 48 years old, who went to Amsterdam with his 15 years old son and a 15 years old nephew. he is a Lawyer, and his son is a gifted kid. not hooligans in any mean. they were attacked by a group of 10-15 Muslims after the game, unprovoked. my friend was stabbed in his hand. they are fine and managed to escape.
their only crime was the kids wearing a football shirt.

The Israeli violence began the day before the game. Reprisals are also bad but get your basic facts right.

the chief of police of Amsterdam issued a statement that the violence was perpetuated by Muslims against Israeli's.
The Mossad issued a warning a few hours in advance that the Muslims are organizing an attack against the Israeli's.
I can go on and on and on, but we all know that there are people here that can't be bothered with the facts. Israeli's are involved- that means that Israeli's are to blame.
You only have to look above at the reports from Wednesday. It's not hard to be objective in this and leave your Israel skew behind.

I just spent 15 minutes in Arabs and Muslims twitter accounts and Facebook. they are celebrating the attack, and even participants in the pogrom are coming in to claim their "prizes" of becoming heroes. A Moroccan football player just praised the attack and wrote that if its not little kids and women, the Israeli's run away.

I'm a peaceful person and wouldn't get violently involved, but I'd defend anyone who reacted to those genocidal taunts with a punch in the face of the aggressor.
If you were racially abused to your face I'd defend your right to do that.
