LOL. Your not on the right track at all. Israel is not unilaterally moving towards peace (nor should they), where they have gotten nothing but violence and bad faith from the other side. That isn't how the world works. I would understand why you want Israel to do this, because your preference is Israel being destroyed, so you view this working towards that end. But given I

by mongidig

Why do you think these restrictions were enacted in the first place? The wall pretty much stopped the bus bombings and other terror attacks. Removing a half million heavily armed nutty settlers isn't gonna happen. The law of return isn't going to end. You are severely detached from reality just like the "Palestinians" are. This nutty dream of walking around Israel freely and ha

Have you considered not abusing maiming and murdering Palestinians by the hundreds and thousands every ****ing year?

Guess not.

Interesting take, resistance against an occupier is bad faith but occupying and oppressing people and then playing the victim is good faith?

there aren't "first principles" involved other than "one side is our ally the other isn't".

what's favourable for our ally is what is moral and viceversa. morality is what benefit your side in geopolitics, there isn't anything else.

the part we don't get is why you want to consider Palestinians and the Arab world in general our ally instead. I get it for victor, he just hates the west so he has reversed geopolitical morals than me.

do you also just hate the west?

Israel completely dismantled a bunch of terrorists who like to chant “death to America” so I’m glad for that and happy to have them as allies.

Gotwoot is so uninformed that it’s impossible to have a discussion with him. He clearly wasn’t paying attention to the conflict pre Oct 7 or he’d know that Israel worked towards a 2 state solution for many years, often times having their generous offers thrown back in their faces.

by gotwoot

Congrats buddy! You’re on the right track! A good start would be to discontinue the law of return, to disband all settlements inside OPT, to take down the wall of apartheid, remove laws that prevent Palestinian freedom of movement, remove the military checkpoints and ofcourse to dismantle the right wing government. Don’t want a bunch of rockets fired at you? Have yo

You’re mentally insane if you think anything you typed is a remote possibility now. Complete lack of understanding of both the Israelis, the Palestinians and any history between them. Idk how you’re not embarrassed.

Every single instance of land for peace, except the Sinai, more or less blew up in Israel's face.

The other side has to make substantial changes to merit 1/4 of what gotwoot is suggesting. Because we have already seen what happens when those measures aren't in place.

This. I was going to reply to him, but his "factual" claims are so lol out of the scope reality, I can't even start.

This whole thread has gone sadly to the roams of madness, as far as it goes for the Pal supporters.

Well it's just not grounded in fact. This group of innocents that wouldn't keep attacking Israel "if only", doesn't exist.

This is the reality.

Interesting story that could be something, or absolutely nothing.

So Hamas main income right now is stealing all the UN aid and then selling it on the black market. And they have acquired a war chest of Israeli shekels in the process. In order to pressure Hamas to continue hostage for prisoner exchange, and ultimately abdicate control of Gaza, Israel has announced they will no longer honor these shekels, making them theoretically worthless.

But I admit I dont know if it is this simple.

Are you claiming Israel gave up Land? how is this possible?

I thought we are just colonizers who are trying to expand our country to no end.

In real news, the Shabac is going to release today the investigation into the events of the seventh of October. I had the privilege of reading a part of it. Very hard reading

probably tough to read about your Army getting smoked in 15 mins by a bunch of dudes in sandals with homemade weapons

and a bunch of commanders running away

Vic, at this point I see you as a troll with 0 substance. can't bother anymore

Nah. We have been assured Vic is a true friend of the Jewish/Israeli people, with no bigotry and racism in his heart or posting. He is just a straight shooter being unfairly maligned for stating uncomfortable truths.

His penchant for mocking Israel and celebrating anything he perceives as bad happening to them is just his way of trying to motivate them to do better next time.

We can't know the counterfactual for sure, but I have a feeling that even if Israel suddenly did not exist they would find something else to bitch about.

Im not a "true friend" of any country whatever that means. and certainly not of a country plausibly doing genocide. so I am not sure who assured you of that but it wasnt me.

Why can't we?

It happened already, and we have their words. We don't need more.

This was done, there was a Gaza before the wall/blockade. It existed. Those were the suicide bombs in the Israeli markets for YEARS killing at scale.

You'd need to deradicalize Gaza before having a shot at it. This is known, even by folks like the Saudies (who want that). Folks need to study the last 100 years of this closer I think. No other explanation.

You are on acid. Israel invested massively in settlement infrastructure starting in 1967. None of the "generous offers" included removing the occupation of the West Bank.

Nor the annexation of East Jerusalem, and obviously no Palestinian leader could sign away the Palestinian capital. That was the tactic (an offer certain to be refused) that Israel used to make sure the Bill Clinton initiative went nowhere and Israel didn't have to concede anything. Clinton in his memoirs angrily blamed the Palestinians for denying him that reputational legacy, which makes you wonder how much he ever understood about these things -- he was very good and even-handed in the earlier Northern Ireland process, though.

Guys all the offers were generous compared to the rubble of today. ALL OF THEM.

They got the rubble.

Ok then.

by 57 On Red

Nor the annexation of East Jerusalem. . . .

Nor giving Muslims sovereignty over Al Aqsa.

A $53bn (£41.4 billion) reconstruction plan to rival President Donald Trump's idea for the US to "take over Gaza" and move out more than two million Palestinians has been approved by Arab leaders at an emergency summit in the Egyptian capital Cairo.

"The Egypt plan is now an Arab plan," announced the secretary general of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit at the end of this hours-long gathering.

Hey Bill do you know why musk and bannon were sieg heiling?
Chez do you have any idea why?

If might makes right then don't play the victim and whine about permanent war.

They weren't signaling to their extremist base? Tell us.

Arafat said no. Enraged, Clinton banged on the table and said: "You are leading your people and the region to a catastrophe." A formal Palestinian rejection of the proposals reached the Americans the next day. The summit sputtered on for a few days more but to all intents and purposes it was over.

Well Bill nailed that. He sure did lead them to catastrophe.

Arafat didn't negotiate - he just kept saying no
