Bibi made it clear that he's leading an operation into Rafah regardless of cease fire or the US. Not sure how much credibility a cease deal had but the war has moved past that part.

Maybe it was just a bluff to bring Hamas to the negotiating table? Maybe the US threat to withdraw aid has more teeth than people expected. idk, at least there's some hope here.
Hamas “accepted” a deal involving “permanent halt to Israeli military operations” that wasn’t offered.
Fundamentally they are still demanding an unconditional surrender from Israel.

it seems that USA Egypt Qatar etc think a deal can be reached. I do agree that Israel has no credibility and appears to be operating in completely bad faith.
Bibi hasn't shut down Haaretz yet?

Well i do stand corrected
Looks like Israel has started the offensive after all
https://www.ohchr.org/en/press-releases/...remember all that disinfo about the mass graves? hmm
The US withdrew from ohchr in 2018 due to their ridiculous bias against Israel. Amazing source
No, it isn't. Precisely because of the Holocaust, international law takes a preventative approach and does not wait until a successful campaign of genocide has been completed. The charge can be brought if there has been a deliberate attempt to reduce the target population significantly, in operations not required by combat or by air or artillery attack on strategic or tactical
Attempted genocide is not genocide though.
The victors ITT and elsewhere are saying what ALREADY HAPPENED is genocide and no, it simply isn't at all, in the slightest, no reason to even think it was.
everybody should be biased against Israel. genocidal psychopathic society.
people refusing to state objective guidelines of good and bad was pretty telling.
"hamas kills 100 civilians- terrible
israel kills 10,000 civilians- eh thats war"
pussys are gonna pussy
If Israel had killed 10k civilians WITHOUT 10 7 happening i will be on victor side.
But after 10 7 *there is no moral limit to what Israel is allowed to do to extirpate Hamas from the face of earth at any cost*, yes including nuclear weapons being used in Gaza, Iran, Lebanon, or all the 3.
As you asked repeatedly in the past, the answer to "how many palestinians civilians is Israel allowed to kill as collateral damage while it tries to eradicate Hamas" is "absolutely all of them", ofc only if necessary (ie if killing far fewer, like it is doing currently, doesn't work to eradicate hamas).
THE ORDER THINGS HAPPEN MATTERS. 10 7 justifies UNLIMITED VIOLENCE for Israel.
President Joe Biden is meeting Middle East ally, Jordan's King Abdullah II, at the White House on Monday as Hamas said it accepted a ceasefire proposal but Israel said it was unacceptable.
An Israeli official said the ceasefire proposal that Hamas had accepted was a "softened" version of an Egyptian proposal. Earlier in the day, Israel told Palestinians to evacuate parts of the southern Gaza city of Rafah.
On Sunday, Hamas reiterated its demand for an end to the war in exchange for the freeing of hostages, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu flatly ruled that out. Hamas also attacked the Kerem Shalom crossing into Gaza, which Israel said killed three of its soldiers.
A Jordanian diplomat told Reuters Monday's meeting between Biden and King Abdullah is not a formal bilateral meeting but an informal private meeting.
Earlier on Monday, Biden pressed Netanyahu not to go ahead with a large-scale Israeli military offensive in Rafah. The U.S. president has been vocal in his demand that Israel not undertake a ground offensive in Rafah without a plan to protect Palestinian civilians.
The Biden administration and Israeli officials remain at odds over Israel's planned military incursion in the southern Gaza city of Rafah where it told Palestinians to start evacuating some parts on Monday.

haha
It's mostly gone without comment but a big factor in the number of people killed in this war has been the AI targeting. Perhaps after the war people will recognize it properly as unethical and dangerous and it will become a "war crime".
