Sorry there, I blacked out for a minute. Anyway, people have brought up Africa, but you can also look at many of the indigenous tribes of the Americas. Women routinely held positions of authority. I don't remember specifics off-hand, but some indigenous tribes' ruling groups were predominantly female.

It can be a gateway to terfdom or it can just deadend at pop feminism ie manspreading, mansplaining, “I’ll take my chances with the bear” feminism. And can often lead to the opposite of terfdom which is insane inclusivism/self id.
