Just a general comment on Luciom...
I've noticed an increasing boldness in his posting for months now. Hes feeling very empowered right now to spew toxic hatred. I've pointed out to him many times that I've noticed this, given him warnings, and generally tried to be reasonable and patient, but my patience is running thin.

Ok maybe a little Mandela effect on my part. Biden did pledge to appoint the first black woman to the Supreme Court. He factually pledged to appoint a women as his Vice President. When he said "If I'm elected President, my - my cabinet, my administration will look like the country" this set into motion what many people thought was inevitable. I don't think anybody was shocked that he chose a black women to be his VP.
The messaging would have been better if he simply pointed out the inequities in this country and vowed to create an atmosphere of fairness. That being said, I get the political implications of how he went about it.

lol, every mod says this, none of them do anything
This place would be boring without Luciom to get mad at. Victorβs schtick gets old very quickly.
He's just been banned again. What more do you want?

Good lord, I seriously hope your child is not home schooled. Man - woman; men - women. Really, how ****ing difficult is this to grasp for a supposedly functioning adult, after being corrected about a million ****ing times too, no less?
Luciom's shtick gets old very quickly. It's all death wish far right nonsensica and racism dressed up as political science.
It would be more palatable if he (luciom) could admit when he was wrong, change his messaging when hes proven wrong, and stop making random **** up, but then he wouldn't be luciom I guess

This is a seriously weird ass quirk of the right lately it seems, I've seen it more and more on social media. At least it seems to be the right, but I also saw on Horror reddit a while back. Maybe people are just getting dumber.

The not admitting when he is wrong (and quite obviously dead to rights) part is actually what I find the most objectionable about him as a poster.

I admittedly find his mental gymnastics to avoid admitting he's wrong, even when thoroughly debunked, rather fascinating in spite of myself.
I think many of those white boxing fans are still stuck in the Jack Johnson era! I love these boxing films on YouTube. Jack Johnson's story is INSANE.
Jack Johnson, Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, Sonny Liston and others, all of these guys had remarkable stories. I feel like each one is a tragic play detailing a little part of America's social life of those years.
Jack Johnson's story is definitely insane. But it's also crazy how popular boxing used to be. If you like old boxing stuff, you would enjoy reading The Sweet Science by A.J. Liebling. It's a collection of boxing essays from the 1950s. Not the era of Jack Johnson, but still interesting.

Yeah, if you see that in conjunction with "I can't breath", you can pretty much bet your life that the source is a dipshit right winger. Those are like their little shibboleths, their rite of passage into moron land or something.

The number of them that complain about Biden's open "boarders" is staggering, also.
Are we heading back into 'people were too stupid to understand they owed the Dems their votes' waters?
Luciom getting banned for a few days is actually a real punishment for him, I reckon. Gonna have to sit on his hands for a little minute. I know he's repeatedly assured us that he has plenty of interests outside of this forum, but if I'm being dead honest, I have my doubts.
He was banned for several weeks once - a few days of solitary is nothing for him.

I'd almost subscribe that hes posting to 20 forums all day while getting paid 8$ an hour but he legitimately seems to enjoy posting here
Maybe because he gets owned so regularly
Ok, maybe I'm wrong. Let's see where it goes.

can you possibly imagine the fallout if he made that statement, specifically saying there were 4 black women in consideration and then still picked a white woman as VP?
pretty sure you were active itt betting the vp process - the tenor of the statement was unmistakably a signal that it would indeed be a black woman
and the betting markets reflected that, all non women and non blacks went straight to 0 with that statement
it was also reflected in the media - if you search for biden vp pick and narrow range to only see articles from that time you find it very clear that he had faced a ton of pressure to pick a black female
here's an early one saying that the dems lost 2016 largely due to low black turnout so he should focus on a black woman to drive that up, specifically kamala
https://theconversation.com/joe-biden-ha...
cnn article on it, clearly states she was picked because she's black, article says black 9 times and doesn't talk about a single thing about her other than her ethnicity and her work to help black people
https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/11/politics/...
bbc article detailing the candidates and says explicitly that harris is the most likely because biden is facing pressure to pick a black woman and she best fits that bill
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada...
politico article stating kamala was picked because of the black women available she had the most experience
https://www.politico.com/news/2020/07/27...
here's a q&a panel at princeton where they explicitly say she was chosen because she's black
https://spia.princeton.edu/news/qa-today...
Q. Why do you think Harris was chosen over other close contenders, including Susan Rice, Val Demmings, and Elizabeth Warren? What does Harris bring to the table that the others do not?
Stephens-Dougan: Harris was chosen over other contenders for a variety of factors. Biden already committed to naming a woman on the ticket, but he was facing increasing pressure to pick a Black woman as his running mate. Given the focus on a Black woman as the VP choice, Elizabeth Warren was not an option. Susan Rice had the baggage of the 2012 Benghazi attack, and she has never run for elected office. Val Demmings, similar to Harris, has a law enforcement background (an asset), but she has less experience and name recognition relative to Harris. Harris brings to the ticket relative youth, political experience, and a law enforcement background, which will help to combat charges of the Democratic ticket being too liberal or beholden to people of color.
Canes-Wrone: Biden would like to resurrect the Obama voting coalition of 2008 and 2012, which did not materialize as expected in 2016. Harris offers a strong possibility to do so given her national profile, experience, race, and ethnicity. Other major contenders were either less tested on a national scale or, in Warrenβs case, risked alienating the more ideologically moderate parts of the Obama coalition. The fact that Harris and Bidenβs son Beau were close as attorneys general adds a personal dimension that further suggests the two of them will work well as a team.
us news article saying biden faces tons of pressure to choose a black woman

npr bit about biden faces immense pressure to pick a black woman

coordi, this revisionism is insane, the internet is written in pen, all of this is easily fact checked, those news outlets above are mainstream and liberal and they all unanimously agree biden was picking a black woman due to big external pressure to do so
