Moderation Questions
The last iteration of the moderation discussion thread was a complete disaster. Numerous attempts to keep it on topic fa
Wow, I really respected you but it seems like you're just another freak with severe mental health issues. Instead of banning all these braindead Nazipigs you do nothing and invite an already banned one back in.
**** you.

Have you considered that a microniche subforum of a random internet forum doesnβt matter
We needed reservations for the Indians because they were too savage is QUITE the take, Rick. Even got a reference in to a final solution!
I suppose Dustin needed some competition.
no - evil white people show up and do evil things unprovoked because we are so morally repugnant and evil and need to spend the rest of our lives apologizing for that evil despite that the overwhelming majority of us are descended from people who came over in the 19th or 20th century long after it all took place
that is quite the hot take
i'm just literally saying what literally happened
and like i said - south and central america do not carry with them this phantom guilt - it's purely a western thing only existing in usa and canada
No serious black person would say that an individual white person should apologise for things white people did in the past. This is you building straw men again.
I have no idea why we reopened the Sandy Hook topic. For years now, that topic has been off limits, and even Luckbox has complied.
I absolutely do think many who strive to become mods here tend to be a bit authoritarian. But I don't recall having the opinion that you were. Because I probably would have said something to you about it.
Has anyone ever "strived" to be a moderator of this forum, much less "strived" so that they could flex their authority over other posters? For at least as long as I have been involved in the discussions, it has been difficult to find anyone who was willing to moderate the forum. The idea of an active competition is pure fantasy.

I've always theorized that someone who becomes a Mod has ulterior motives. I bet the vast majority of these people come from a bullied back round. This is their chance to be the bully. This is their chance to get back at those who hurt them. You can tell who these people are because they make their decisions based on emotions not rational thinking. They tend to micro manage because it shows their authority. Unfortunately, as you mentioned it's difficult to get people to do the job so their inability to handle the job is over looked. I've had this where I work. I'm certainly not going to do this job so I guess we'll just live with the deficiencies of this person. Ironically, you could literally have someone just check in once a week and see how things are going and I bet everything would be fine. Better yet, wait for someone to complain and then look into it. Coordi has done a fine job being hands off. He understands that less is more.
I never bought into the Sandy Hook conspiracy. Obviously InfoWars has very long tentacles. Far right media is rampant and once it gets its hands on you everything will seem like a conspiracy. In fairness, the Government hides so much information from us and lies so much that it's reasonable not to have any trust in them. Also, in fairness, some of the parents from Sandy Hook did seem like they were acting.
I know how we got back to discussing Sandy Hook. I am suggesting that the game isn't worth the candle.
These days "bullied" means "someone was mean to me once".
All the moderators in this forum since its 'reboot' about eight years ago have been really kewl and never evidenced any desire to rule with an iron fist.
